I enjoy this song. It is a nice post-summer follow up to "California Gurls," judging from the pace of the track.

Currently the #1 single on Adult Contemporary Chart, the song has been certified triple platinum in the US. This is their most successful single ever. I hear this one a lot and find myself singing along to this one, it's my favorite. The chorus is quite melodic and Monahan's vocals are rather impressive. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVpv8-5XWOI

Critics seem to draw plenty of comparisons with her and Lady Gaga. I've wondered if listeners moved away from the X-tina era to focus on Gaga and if that notion somehow overshadowed the performance of "Not Myself Tonight" on the charts and X-tina's image in general. Especially since Gaga, has had hit after hit within the past two years.

I was surprised when the song lossed its steam near the mid twenties on the pop chart, I thought it would have had a different outcome at the rate the track was climbing.

She's an act out of Barbados like Rihanna and has a successful top 10 smash on her hands called "Impossible." I find it to be an uptempo ballad. She's had a top 20 smash last year called "T-Shirt." www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWdrO4BoCu8

Nicki Minaj is a new artist getting a lot of buzz on the charts as a contemporary female rap act. She's a part of Lil' Wayne's "Young Money Entertainment" label. Her song, "Your Love" has turned into a multi-format smash. The song samples Annie Lennox's "No More ‘I Love You’s’." www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7wWX4tgHA

I like it, but the alter-ego thing is stupid. I thought it was a joke, but unfortunately it wasn't... I don't think the character is being used well. I believe her fans are captivated by Beyonce the phenomenal singer and performer not some fictitious person. She is trying too hard to please and needs to leave the acting roles to films. Besides, I heard that her role as Etta James in Cadillac Records was quite good.

I used to love this song back in the day. The pair are among my favorite artists of Jamaican descent. I wonder where Maxi Priest disappeared to. I have Priest's "Close To You" on my iPhone.

Wow never expected him to get #1 with "I'm Yours." That's quite surprising. I also meant to point out that the track has a reggae melody.

The song is quite catchy! It is pretty cool. I like the violin and electric guitar intro. These Australian twin sisters seem to have a slight gothic edge going on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykW4rtW2eu0

I love this song! I wonder if he wrote the song about his ex-fiancée, Alexis Phifer. I know he has been through the traumatic experience of his mom dying while being engaged at the same time.
Kanye West defended accusations of being a so called copycat of the use of the AutoTune feature. He told hosts Rocsi and Terrence J on yesterday's (Mon, Nov. 24th episode) BET's 106th and Park that he used the feature on his album The College Dropout and folks have been absentminded about that.

She concluded the American Music Awards last night with a performance of the track. It's an empowering song dedicated to women of all ages and the finding of their inner strength. Eventhough I'm not a woman and can't appreciate it as much. LOL. It is a delightful song nevertheless. Alicia sings it beautifully. The chorus trips me out: I still put on a vest With an S on my chest Oh yes I'm a Superwoman LOL Clever reference of a fictional character from the comics. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK8t0gP4isE&feature=related

It's a been long while since we've heard from Q-Tip and a Tribe Called Quest. I am elated that these conscious rappers are appearing. This track is real smooth. I am feeling it a lot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hki_gfj8l3k

Common never comes short in my book. I love the fusion of technology and hiphop in the video. The single sounds really futuristic. I'd love to see more of this than in rap music than a ton of women prancing all over the place. (Not that there is anything wrong with that picture sometimes, lol but those themes get really old and tiring) www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo7FpI8MmmE

They just performed this together on SNL. It seems like everyone is getting boozed up these days. This is like the umpteenth song on the charts with an alcohol reference. Hmmm...hard economic times perhaps. Anyway this is a good track. It doesn't sound like it would be a successful crossover hit, however. www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-ranRk3kYIP.S. Ludacris don't go rapping about politics again, it is disastrous when you do that.

The first release off of 50 Cent's fourth album Before I Self Destruct . I like it okay. The song really gets me amped at first and then it drags. It gets really boring after a while. Overall, the track is kind of weak to be honest. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHhKIctJtok

They keep reviving 2Pac from the dead huh? But this collaboration seems to work. Keyshia is from the West Coast so I'm sure this is what she wanted to do with 2Pac's mother: Afeni's blessing of course. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXtuXHJ22_4.

This is among my favorite current R&B tracks. The beat is sick! I'm so much in love with it. John Legend is the man and it is nice to hear from Andre 3000 again. (Look out for the Bigboi and Andre 3000 solo projects along with an Outkast album in 2009 ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hd-uklv-5g

I have enjoyed this song for quite some time now and always meant to put a topic up. Kevin Rudolf is a new artist signed to Lil' Wayne's Cash Money label. He is not only successful here in the states with "Let It Rock" but also in Canada with the track (making the top 3 over there). www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yCoUvF4NxQ

The video is amusing. OMG, Pete Wentz takes a leak in back of a studio and gets in a fight. Hope Ashlee isn't watching. There is some grabbing of asses. A seemingly homeless guy flashing people? Nun outfits. Miming. Cameo appearances made by Pharrell and Blink 182's Mark Hoppus. Plus a Sarah Palin look a like concludes the video. A hot mess to the max! www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0Nlzxe9aY

She's topped the Urban chart and Billboard's R&B singles chart with the track. I like the dance routine in the video of this song. She is in Sasha Fierce mode, her alter ego. (Did she borrow that glove from MJ?) The track is quite catchy and enjoyable. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mVEGfH4s5g

Taylor has been quite successful lately and her career seems to have took off. Her latest album Fearless recently topped the Billboard Album charts. She is in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 with this track. Plus her bullet is getting huge at Mainstream. She'll be performing at the AMA's Sunday. I think it's a cool song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXKAzgBMWx

I wonder if there is any intention to push this at Mainstream. I really hope it happens. I think this track could give him the solo attention he needs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqliYGN_VHAIt is a fantastic ode performed by Black Eyed Peas' member Will.I.Am dedicated to Barack Obama!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqYH4HstSYg(Since we're on the topic of drinking.) A follow up smash to her #1 smash. I'm feeling the track. She took it to a credible level unlike the sometimes silly "So What."
