I hate to pile on the hype and accolades, but that video really is fantastic. I LOL'd when the prison guards "confirm" she's not a hermaphrodite. I can't believe Gaga even bothered to acknowledge that despicable rumor, but that was funny. Haha, I love that line too. The video is so over the top and her choice of fashion was just awesome. However, this video does confirm what a terrible actress Beyoncé is when she starts opening her mouth. Not to mention Gaga totally upstaged her. I saw the video on MuchMusic/MuchMore the other day and they edited it so much for both content and length. The video cuts right into the scene where she picks up the phone and starts singing. The scene where Gaga is told she's being bailed out is cut. As well, in the diner scene, all the dialogues are cut and the entire scene is overlaid with the song. Content wise, all the product placements' brand names are blurred out. The swearing is bleeped. The word "kill" as well as all the "ingredients" on the side when Gaga makes her poison are blurred out. The edits do kinda ruin the video, whereas it was okay with "Paparazzi". I always just assumed it was "open wide" and have been afraid that the song is just one big disgusting oral sex metaphor. BET seems to confirm this. Well I think the song's more about drinking than anything, and BET seems to love censoring alcohol references too. I just thought it was weird that they would censor that line when the subject in question of instructing to open wide is the mouth... not like you know, thighs. I also can't hate on a song that namedrops Toronto.

Lady Gaga announced more Canadian dates this past week including a Toronto show on July 11th. Tickets went on sale yesterday and she announced an additional show in Toronto for July 12th since the first show almost sold out right away. Yet, the only tickets left for either show are either $190+ or singles. Bah.

Great to see "Telephone" at #1, and the video is finally out! Please don't tell me "Imma Be" will be the next #1. What does Trey Songz say in the chorus of "Say Aah", is it "Open wide" or "Hold the wine"? I Google'd and found both. Either way, BET censors that line and that makes me laugh as well as shake my head. Glad to see "Bulletproof" hitting the pop chart. That song is long overdue and I love it. Why does Timbaland have 3 songs all gaining spins? My favourite of the 3 is "If We Ever Meet Again" which is probably my favourite track off the entire album, hopefully it'll go Top 10. I actually don't mind "Haven't Met You Yet" . I would much rather take Bublé over some of the other Canadian exports we've had such as Justin Bieber, Simple Plan, and Nickelback, in addition to the slew of bands you guys are fortunate enough to not hear about.

Yep, that's it. In case you haven't figured it out or if anyone else was wondering, the clip from "Poker Face" is from the part right before the chorus. It happens right after the first verse as well as the second verse.

Saw Alicia Keys tonight. Opening for her was Melanie Fiona and Robin Thicke. The former is a Canadian R&B artist that has recently topped the Urban AC chart. When was the last time that happened? I didn't get her setlist because I wasn't very familiar with her songs, but I got the other two and contributed to setlist.fm. Robin Thicke1. Diamonds 2. Shakin' It 4 Daddy 3. 2 Luv Birds 4. Magic 5. Just saw Muse tonight... simply amazing. Stellar stage presence and sounded great. I missed most of Silversun Pickups' set except for the last 3 songs because my cousin was late. Oh well. I stole the setlist from setlist.fm because I was only keeping track of the actual songs but not random riffs they threw in between, so I'll paste that here. 1. Uprising 2. Resistance 3. New Born 4. Map of the Problematique 5. Supermassive Black Hole 6. Guiding Light -. Interlude 7. Hysteria -. Nishe 8. United States Of Eurasia -. Take A Bow (Riff Only) 9. Feeling Good -. Helsinki Jam 10. Undisclosed Desires 11. Starlight 12. Plug In Baby -. YYZ (Riff only) (Rush cover)) 13. Time Is Running Out 14. Unnatural Selection
Encore: 15. Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 1: Overture 16. Stockholm Syndrome 17. Knights of Cydonia

3 songs remain. I'll give you all a hint that clips from both 22c and 22a are from guest rap verses of the respective songs, and both of the rap verses are not on the original versions, although one of them is an official single version of the song. Try to see if you can identify the beat to identify the song.

Lol, I totally missed that the first time! Oh man, Cool Runnings was my ex-roommate's favourite movie of all-time, so we watched it quite a few times. And I was reminded of that movie when I watched the Canadian women bobsled teams won both Gold and Silver last night at the Winter Olympics.
