I'm posting the top 15 now for the chance that Kirk hasn't left yet and that maybe he'll be able to find the time. If you know #35b, go ahead and post it.
The top 15.
15. Jesus 14. Chance 13. Fiction 12. Dice 11. Shoulders 10. Different 9. Chocolate 8. Wheels 7. Plastic 6. Taste 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
I liked what Matt did with his top ten, and I think we've gotten a little bit too good at the final rounds, so I'm leaving the top five down to educated guesses.
But you have to at least know all the songs that are going to be in the 15-6 range or else you've probably given yourself no chance to get a perfect top 5.
I've checked every word to make sure they only appear in one song in the top 15, and they do (including the top 5). So, no tricks there. Plus, the lyrics are mostly nouns (7 of them, to be exact), which stand out more, in my opinion, so you may be able to get a couple of these without listening or searching or anything, if you're really good. Although, if you think you're done and you haven't caught any dirty tricks, you've probably made a mistake along the way.
No deadline, but after everyone whom I'm expecting participation from sends their PM's to me, I'll post the results.
I will soon post the whole countdown up to where we are right now for your reference.

All we needed was lyrics when the song was in everyone else's guessing game, so that's how it will stay.
35b. Throwing my head in the wind And I feel like the King of the dead men wishing they had got together with you, girl. Velvet Revover - "Dirty Little Thing" (mtm4319)

Indeed it is. #35 is now all that stands before the final round.

21 is Rise Against. "The Suffering", had I extended the chart far enough, would have ended up at #160.

"Time To Waste" was at #37, so that's not it.
It was funny at first to see the default list, or book, of default censored words, but I'm tired of it devouring perfectly harmless terms and that last pregnant dog was the final straw. Basically I chopped it down to what you can't say on TV.

32. Muse "New Born" (this was a bitch to figure out) Eh. I figured one could just use Google (I hate the term "google" used as a verb) to find out who that campus invasion artist was, and that it'd be a cinch once that got narrowed down, but I guess I just don't know what it's like to not know that song. My next step would've been to post synonyms with the words in the title. And thank god picpak got the "LSF" one because the lyrics that are posted are surrounded by clues that have already been used by others on either side. What happened to 21 and 20? I even made extensions for 'em, too. I guess they just got lost in the air. 35b. And I feel like the King of the dead men wishing they had got together with you, girl21. So please believe your eyes, a sacrifice is not what we had in our minds Rise Against - "Give It All" (a Nick O!)20. That burns a building down, Splits a family in two The Used & My Chemical Romance - "Under Pressure" (halo19)

I don't know if this was supposed to be sneaky or just plain underhanded, but 40 is "Run" by Snow Patrol. Heh. What's underhanded about putting the lyrics just as they're stated in the song? I'd say 48b was the cheap one since I ignored punctuation, although it was a #1 hit! New clues will be up promptly at 9pm eastern tonight, regardless of what happens with these updated clues. It'll go all the way down to #16 and then the final round will be the top 15. 46. One more reason I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do when she makes me sad39. All of us savor the moment, leaving me broken38. A polyphonic prostitute, the mortar's on fire37. 89. Revenge will surely come, your hard times are ahead [the single cover looks like (the above). This is not an American single. There was a topic started about this song at Pulse, in 2004, about this song becoming a fourth American Single, fifth in the UK. I declared that it wouldn't work, since the song has a long piano interlude that would just be considered "inactivity" on American radio. A video was shot and the song went on to be released as a UK single. Somebody better get this now.] Muse - "Butterflies And Hurricanes" (halo19)

74. HIM - "Join Me in Death" (it was re-released in like winter/spring of 2004, people ) Hey man, so what do you do when you acquire their album in like Christmas of 2004 after never hearing anything more than clips of their music (due to skepticality)? . 93b. is "Strength of the World" by Avenged Sevenfold. Did I get the lyrics right on that one? Their website only lists half the album's lyrics, for some reason. The big box lyric sites seem to think it's "so far forever now alone", but the more I actually listen to that part, the more I think I'm the one that's right, while it still could go either way. Anyway, I don't see an incorrect guess up here anywhere, so you guys did some fine work with this round.

According to avengedsevenfold.com, the lyrics to "Burn It Down" go 'I'll burn ya down'. So it's Michael who was right about it being "This Fire" at #107. Sorry Nick. Everything else was right. I'll give Kirk a shot at these, then add a few more hints.

Well, out of 184 songs to hit my chart in 2005, it comes out to 120 songs ending up with at least 100 inverse points. Last year I think there were 118, so it's gonna be roughly the same. Once again, you're on your honor to avoid lyrical search engines. Don't spoil things for other people who might know these. I'll start everything out with lyrics, and if everyone's still stumped, I'll either post more lyrics or add some conceptual hints until it gets guessed. And I don't break ties. Let's quickly update our biggest hits of all time to account for 2005: 1. Incubus - "Drive" (1564 pts) 2. System Of A Down - "Chop Suey!" (1460 pts) 3. Queens Of The Stone Age - "No One Knows (1406 pts) 4. [This year's #1 song] (1400 pts) And the top 120 of 2005 begins here. 120. Tell me your story Elefant - "Misfit" 118a. A confection of venom Beck - "E Pro" [friday]118b. Can't buy back time 117. The easiest things are so hard 115a. Can't sit down and I can't stand up The Music - "Breakin'" [Slinky]115b. Throw a coin in a fountain 114. Hungry night once again Weezer - "Perfect Situation" [mtm4319]113. Do you live, do you die, do you bleed 112. Everything will end up alright Audioslave - "Be Yourself" [halo19]111. I just filled up your tank earlier today 110. But it goes to waste Coldplay - "Fix You" [Mega248]109. I said you knocked it down 108. One of the most significant messages given to us from God The Used - "Take It Away" [halo19]107. I'll burn it down Franz Ferdinand - "This Fire" [friday]106. Gotta be the realest thing 105. You're the reason I sing

2. "Holding on" appears in "The Hand That Feeds" and "Helena" ...And "Right Side Of The Bed", which I placed at #7 right from the beginning before listening to anything. Then I was left with a #9 and #10 for hours before I figured out what the 2 missing songs were. They were "I'm Not Okay", which I wasn't expecting until I read a September chart of yours that said it was in its 72nd week, and "The Hand That Feeds", which I wrote off because Kirk guessed it for a song in the 20's and I didn't remember that it was an errant guess. So yeah, this game was probably tailored for me more than anyone, and this was still the toughest top 10 out of all that I played. Michael's was a close second.
