Yeah, if there's a band you've never heard of on my chart, it's a good bet that they're Canadian. Neverending White Lights is actually a collaborative project 3 years in the making with contributions from members of all kinds of bands, mainly Canadian ones (ie. Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven), although they were able to get Nick Hexum in to do a song. Dallas Green is actually the singer from the band Alexisonfire; the song is a laid back ballad in the vein of Coldplay, which is interesting because I highly doubt Alexisonfire plays anything near that type of music.
The Pilate song is actually their second hit on my chart; "Into Your Hideout" was a hit for me in 2004. I'm normally hesitant to fall for the forced airplay of most Canadian bands who stay up north, but I like what I've heard from them so far. Think Muse meets Hot Hot Heat for their type of sound.
I bought The Truth the week after it came out. It was tough deciding on whether to go with "Kill To Believe", "For Love And Failing", or "Love In Slow Motion as 'my' first single. I'll probably get all of 'em in there eventually, or others if they grow on me enough. And yeah, you were totally right about "Monsters"
Man, there has to be at least some space on your computer where you can hide a few Mp3's so that you could burn them onto Cd's or something. That way I could get you that AFI song and could've broken you into "Ex's and Oh's" before Taste Of Chaos did.
It took me the whole time it took to type this message to figure out which signature it reminded you of. Must be "But even through your doubts, I will still be here". Heh.

On their myspace page, actually. I guess one night Kim was listening to some bands that her 30STM friends like, and she wanted me to listen to that song, thinking I'd never heard it. And I hadn't, but I listened and kept hearing them singing about chaos, and having seen that song on several charts in here, I say, unenthusiastically, "what is this, like Mute Math or something?", knowing that I wasn't supposed to know who they are, and of course I was right, 'cause I'm damn good at that. It sounded alright, so there it is at #36. I also got to hear a Mae song but I didn't like that one quite as much.

The top 46 has returned. Although it is still a week behind now, it's better than being eleven weeks behind. I do have all the catchup charts finished, but for now I'll just be posting the latest one, since that's the one that matters.

Yeah, and with Kirk heading out for boot camp (I believe), that's like, one-sixth of our core members right there that we'll be without. Oh well, we'll see what happens from here.
The rest of my expected participants for my top 15 (still waiting on three), and the last couple songs in picpak's game are all that stands before the fufillment of this topic.

I've heard #10 and #5, but wasn't expecting to see #10 anywhere, and I would have assumed #5 to be a 2006 song.

Well, I'm not going to let two of these go without participating.
CHR/Pop Pussycat Dolls - "Stickwitu" - F (why are there so many people in this "vocal" group, doing so little.) Chris Brown f/Juelz Santana - "Run It": n/a (I know it every time I hear it, but I need to hear it to remember it.) Mariah Carey - "Don't Forget About Us": n/a Beyonce' f/Slim Thug - "Check On It": n/a Kelly Clarkson - "Because Of You": B Nickelback - "Photograph": B- All-American Rejects - "Dirty Little Secret": B+ Rihanna - "If It's Lovin' That You Want": n/a Ne-Yo - "So Sick": n/a Kayne West - "Gold Digger": C Fall Out Boy - "Dance, Dance": A- Fall Out Boy - "Sugar, We're Goin' Down": A- Natasha Bedingfield - "Unwritten": n/a Black Eyed Peas - "My Humps": F T-Pain - "I'm Sprung": n/a Eminem - "When I'm Gone": n/a Juelz Santana - "There It Go (The Whistle Song)": n/a D4L - "Laffy Taffy": F (wow, that lasted almost as long as "Because I Got High".) Ray J - "One Wish": n/a (is this the same guy from that horrible Lil' Kim song from a few years ago?) Gwen Stefani - "Luxurious": n/a Nelly - "Grillz": n/a Black Eyed Peas - "Pump It": D (it's a cool song to sample, if they must. But they had to go piss all over it just like all their other songs since "Where Is The Love".) Trina f/Kelly Rowland - "Here We Go": n/a Kelly Clarkson - "Walk Away": n/a Relient K - "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been": B- (this isn't better than the song it's following up, whatever that was, which missed the chart.) Three 6 Mafia - "Stay Fly": n/a Sean Paul - "We Be Burnin'": C Gorillaz - "Feel Good Inc.": A (and I can take it now that I'm finally hearing "Dare" regularly. Speaking of which, it's been left off this list.) Young Jeezy f/Akon - "Soul Survivor": n/a Green Day - "Wake Me Up When September Ends": A (Lol at the people actually thinking the song would tumble down the chart upon September ending.) Eminem f/Nate Dogg - "Shake That": n/a Saving Jane - "Girl Next Door": n/a (who? I'm assuming some faceless family-friendly pop/rock band.) Staind - "Right Here": B- (where'd this come from.) Click Five - "Catch Your Wave": n/a James Blunt - "You're Beautiful": C+ (nothing to say about this one other than that it should be an AC-exclusive hit.) Dem Franchize Boyz f/Jermaine Dupri , Da Brat & Bow Wow - "I Think They Like Me (Remix)": n/a (my red paint is ready, though. I think I've heard this. Is this another one of those ridiculous songs trying to double-dip the pop chart with a remix?) Frankie J. - "More Than Words": n/a Madonna - "Hung Up": B (hey! I finally got to hear this; at the grammies. It sounded cool. She's still holdin'.) Bow Wow f/Ciara - "Like You": n/a Lifehouse - "Blind": n/a Santana f/Steven Tyler - "Just Feel Better": n/a Bo Bice - "The Real Thing": n/a Shakira - "Don't Bother": n/a Weezer - "Perfect Situation: A Pussycat Dolls f/WILL.I.AM - "Beep": n/a (+285, that's all, coming off back to back #1's. In case you're wondering how their songs would do without payola. How long before that changes to +(4 digits) right out of the blue.) Twista f/Mariah Carey - "So Lonely": n/a Gwen Stefani - "Crash": n/a (Is she going to release that entire damn album now?)
AC Lifehouse - "You and Me": B Rob Thomas - "Lonely No More": B Michael Buble - "Home": B Anna Nalick - "Breathe (2AM)": B Eagles - "Cloudy Days": n/a Mariah Carey - "We Belong Together": C+ D.H.T. - "Listen to Your Heart": B Santana f/ Michelle Branch - "I'm Feeling You": C Jon Secada - "Window to My Heart": n/a Hootie & The Blowfish - "One Love": B- Backstreet Boys - "Incomplete": C Jim Brickman f/ Wayne Brady - "Beautiful": n/a Melissa Ethridge - "I Run for Life": n/a Eric Clapton - "Say What You Will": n/a Natalie Grant - "Held": n/a Cyndi Lauper f/ Sarah McLachlan - "Time After Time": n/a Enya - "Aramantine": n/a Keith Urban - "Making Memories of Us": n/a Jordan Knight - "Where Is Your Heart Tonight": n/a Sheryl Crow - "Good Is Good": C Simply Red - "Perfect Love": n/a Kelly Clarkson - "Since U Been Gone": B- Rod Stewart f/ Diana Ross - "I've Got a Crush On You": n/a Daniel Powter - "Bad Day": n/a Steven Curtis Chapman - "Remembering You": n/a Goo Goo Dolls - "Better Days": n/a

This is sick and I love how Roadrunner continues to try to pigeonhole this band into one that a family of five could go watch a concert of together. May even be why songs like this even exist.) 311 - "Speak Easy": B+ (so far. Meh...another 1 hit album, it appears.) P.O.D. - "Goodbye For Now": n/a Coheed And Cambria - "The Suffering": B+ White Stripes - "The Denial Twist": B- She Wants Revenge - "Tear You Apart": A Rise Against - "Life Less Frightening": A- Seether - "Truth": B Green Day - "Jesus Of Suburbia": A Subways - "Rock & Roll Queen": C Flyleaf - "I'm So Sick": n/a Hard-Fi - "Cash Machine" B+ HIM - "Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly": A+ Franz Ferdinand - "Do You Want To": B+ Evans Blue - "Cold (But I'm Still Here)": n/a Cold - "A Different Kind Of Pain": n/a (but haha.. from a song called "Cold" to an actual Cold song.. Yep...and I bet, with a sans-recurrent rule chart, that Crossfade's song would be right around here too.) Everyone got the right 15 songs, but none of them were perfect. Matt and Nick both nailed the 15-6 portion, so they'll get a small bonus when the scores are tabulated.
The official top 15: 15. Coheed and Cambria - "Welcome Home" 14. Muse - "Hysteria" 13. Avenged Sevenfold - "Bat Country" 12. The Mars Volta - "L'Via L'Viaquez" 11. Mudvayne - "Happy" 10. System Of A Down - "Question!" 9. Gorillaz (featuring De La Soul) - "Feel Good Inc." 8. Hawthorne Heights - "Ohio Is For Lovers" 7. Green Day - "Holiday" 6. The Mars Volta - "The Widow" 5. Kasabian - "Club Foot" 4. System Of A Down - "B.Y.O.B." 3. The Bravery - "An Honest Mistake" 2. 30 Seconds To Mars - "Attack" 1. My Chemical Romance - "Helena"
Matt and Nick correctly had "Club Foot" at #5. Nobody placed "B.Y.O.B." at #4, and honestly, if this chart wasn't based on statistics, I would have also had it at #2 (with 30STM at #3, Bravery at #4, TMV at #5, "Holiday" at #6, and "Club Foot" probably at #7). As a result of #4, nobody got #3 either. Nick was the only one with "Attack" at #2, and everyone was right on with the #1 song, and I'll say that's pretty damn good, since I wasn't even sure it'd be #1 until I finished compiling everything.
Now, highlight your answers to see how many points you received for each guess.
