But seriously, #40 is "No One Will Ever See Things The Way I Do" or whatever it's called by the Almost.

Yep. I have to look it up every time too, and I always write out the whole title for the sheer enjoyment of it. Even though the only place I've ever seen the whole thing drawn out is from Mediabase and topics branching out from the song being seen on Mediabase.

40. Miley Cyrus - See You Again (Travis Barker Remix) I don't get it. I knew 33 had to be something more of the "emo" variety, but I just couldn't place it yet. And I can't believe you slipped "Love Like Winter" right by me. (I would've needed an extension.)

It's just an imaginary song I placed in the ID3 tag of the file I uploaded. I actually had it uploaded first tagged with that Almost song, which would have given away #40. Somebody here already had that happen to him.

Damnit. I thought #38 sounded like Arcade Fire, but I didn't realize that Steve was familiar with their album cuts, let alone enoughso for one to finish so high.
LOL @ "Crystal is dead".

38. Arcade Fire - Black Mirror Then I was just joking when I said #38 sounded familiar.

"Black Mirror" being an album cut is news to me. I thought that was the first single the whole way. Almost made the top 50.

Yeah, I'm pretty positive "Black Mirror" was the first single.

Yeah, you're right, it was the first single. I never got around to charting it, so for a moment there I kind of forget that it was a single.

I've made my top 200 of 2008. It won't be a guessing game; just installment planned revealing with commentary. But I'm not starting it until we finish this one. Because I'm not going to have four incomplete year-end lists when 2010 rolls along, lol. www.youshare.com/crash46/3354b271ec979124.mp3.html3 remaining songs from the 20's as well as the 20-11. I wish I still had the last file so I could see why or how the other three were missed, but I don't. . Whole new clues for those. 28. 22. The Starting Line - "Island (Float Away)" (picpak) 21. 30 Seconds To Mars - "From Yesterday" (BlahBlahBlah) 20. Timbaland (featuring Keri Hilson) - "The Way I Are" (a Nick O!) 19. Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Snow (Hey Oh)" (friday) 18. Kanye West - "Stronger" (a Nick O!) 17. Incubus - "Dig" (mtm4319) 16. Modest Mouse - "Dashboard" (a Nick O!) 15. Nelly Furtado - "Say It Right" (a Nick O!) 14. Muse - "Supermassive Black Hole" (halo19) 13. Atreyu - "Becoming The Bull" (a Nick O!) 12. The Used - "The Bird and the Worm" (picpak) 11. Jimmy Eat World - "Big Casino" (picpak)

Hmmmm! It's not "Love Like Winter," then, is it? (I just don't want to get my ass handed to me on something so familiar, if all it is is the wrong AFI single.)

Post by crash46 on Jan 17, 2009 4:34:03 GMT -4
No, it's actually not AFI at all. (Not that I'd expect anyone to remember at this point, but "The Missing Frame" was #56, "Love Like Winter" was #37, "Miss Murder" was #175, and that's as deep as I went on that record.)

22. The Starting Line - Island (Float Away) I was thinking this could have been it, but a) I wasn't reasonably confident and b) I wasn't sure you'd have it this high up. 11. Jimmy Eat World - Big Casino Damn.

3 more remain... LOL, what the hell was that? Guess I must've been listening to Breaking Benjamin all year too, because I sure can't recognize #21 yet, still.
