41. Crossfade - So Far Away (can't believe it lasted this long on the board after that most recent fill-in-the-blank) I think we were just waiting for Davey to guess it, since Kirk said he had reserved it for him.

Nuts. That's what I get for not having set the most recent replies higher than 10, cause the reservation wasn't one of those 10. Oh well, I'm sure Davey knows a little more about the worst songs of the year than I do.

The ones left:
37. It's really ironic that they'd criticise indie rock though, because they were in the top of that world just a few years ago. Longest band name on here. 36. See the second clue I made and let that sink in.
30. Extremely cornball song about how someone left him.* Theory of a Deadman - "No Surprise" (a Nick O!) 29. Idiots, and while I try not to take these guys seriously either, the fact that this just crossed over to (and hit) the pop charts is too hard to accept. There's a remix, and that one's a mess. Dem Franchize Boys - "I Think They Like Me" (a Nick O!) 28. Food is used to express a feeling on this song (and artist also inspired easily the most nonsensical catchphrase of Pulse, ever). Mariah Carey - "It's Like That" (mtm4319) 27. They have a current hit, but I'm referring to the predecessor. I try giving them the benefit of the doubt but their lyrics and who they've toured (and said artist nearly made it here) with make it near impossible to do. The Click Five - "Just the Girl" (a Nick O!) 26. One of the five senses. Omarion - "Touch" (mtm4319) 25. Album got reissued for this song which wasn't any good, either. Mariah Carey - "Don't Forget About Us" (a Nick O!) 24. Name doesn't really make much sense to me, and the effects of the vocals make it hard to tolerate. I won't be surprised if this ends up a one-hit wonder, even though not a novelty. T-Pain (f/ Akon?**) - "I'm Sprung" (a Nick O!) 23. This is actually a song?... I can't think of a good example that would get an answer. It's a hip-hop song, but that's still really vague. Ying Yang Twins f/ Pitbull - "Shake" (radical347) 22. Morons who P. Diddy had endorsed in one point, I believe. One member of this group has a big hit now. Boyz in da Hood - "Dem Boyz" (a Nick O!) 21. Remake of a song done two years ago, and not as good this time around. 50 Cent f/ Olivia - "Candy Shop" (friday)
*=that doesn't imply that it's solo. **=I was kind of unaware it had a guest vocal.
I'll be back in like the afternoon, so I'll see then how things go/will have gone.

"It's Like That" is the only correct one. Matt, you're on the right track for #26, but I haven't heard that particular song. It's an artist who I hate way more. I think "Ohio Is For Lovers" was already on The Silence in Black and White, but I don't believe the one I'm thinking was originally on its accompanying album.
#21 is not a remake literally, but in form it's basically a re-release of another song.
The following unguessed entries are pop charters: 36, 29, 27, 24, 23, & 21.

37. ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead "The Rest Will Follow" 36. Brooke Valentine featuring Big Boi & Lil Jon "Girlfight" (I was thrown because I was trying to come up with a "crunk" rapper, not an R&B girl.) 29. Dem Franchize Boyz "I Think They Like Me" ?

37. ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead "The Rest Will Follow" Hmmm, that was the lead single?... I always thought it was another one (hint: Album isn't titled The Rest Will Follow. While not in it, I actually kind of enjoyed that one.) I'll probably go to sleep real soon. I need that if I'm gonna wake up well so early tomorrow.

Hmmm, that was the lead single?... I always thought it was another one (hint: Album isn't titled The Rest Will Follow. While not in it, I actually kind of enjoyed that one.) Make it "Worlds Apart," then. 27. Click Five "Just the Girl" 24. T-Pain f/ Akon "I'm Sprung" (or wait, is Akon in the actual song?) 23. D4L "Laffy Taffy" ? 22. Boyz N Da Hood "Dem Boyz" 21. Santana f/ Michelle Branch "I'm Feeling You" (though, technically that would have been 3 years ago...)

T-Pain (f/ Akon?**) - "I'm Sprung" (a Nick O!) Well Akon signed him to his label and he's all over the video. I guess the song sucks so much that I'm not even sure anymore if he's actually in it. I'm kind of thinking not now...

Well, while they're both wrong, I thought "Laffy Taffy" and "My Humps" were great guesses for one that I didn't even post a good clue for.
#23 is by an artist who's had at least a few other hits. Title is one word, a verb.

Some additional clues for the remaining ones:
30. Expectedly, this appeared on someone's list. 26. The sense has been identified. Now just think of another artist in that format with the same title. 25. Artist has appeared earlier. 23. Well, one of the incorrectly guessed songs says to do this. 21. The artist was a guest of the song it's a remake of. That doesn't necessarily excuse this one. (side note: "I'm Feeling You" wasn't very good, either, but missed.)

Actually, neither of those are there. But I wouldn't say that "Welcome" is the end of Simple Pain on here, but I'll tell you that they're nowhere in this range.
#25 is from a much more popular artist than them, and the album had already sold a lot before the rerelease... #23 hasn't had a career as long as WS but the song title is also something people do when they get nervous.

Okay, I figure that even tho people are gone, why not start the next round:
30. If you abbreviate the band's name, you get the name of something that might be a pet. 25. Artist has been on before, reissued album, reissued after it was big. This is like the forest for the trees.
Other new ones: 20. The last hit from this group I recall, and one of the two really bad ones. A number is used for one of the words. Destiny's Child - "Cater 2 U" (a Nick O!) 19. Two subpar teen artists; a hip-hop song. Bow Wow f/ Omarion - "Let Me Hold You" (Mega248) 18. The clue for #36 could be true, even though it's not a solo artist. The band's name is misspelled; that could be because a much older artist/band uses the "correct" way. 17. Nearly 10 years ago, there was a Goo Goo Dolls hit/minor crossover with this title. Marques Houston - "Naked" (a Nick O!) 16. Country artist makes a song about how author of song doesn't care about certain things, in an obnoxious way. Jo Dee Messina - "My Give-a-Damn's Busted" (a Nick O!) 15. A flop song from three years ago had this title. Artist isn't exactly a stranger to this year's chart. Mariah Carey - "Shake It Off" (radical347) 14. The artist name is also a possible location on a Battleship game. That these guys have a record deal really gets to my skin. B5 - "All I Ever Do" (a Nick O!) 13. New artists have a somewhat questionable name and it seems to be about wanting to get busy with someone. Pretty Ricky - "Your Body" (crash46) 12. This one asks someone to do something with them. Pretty Ricky - "Grind With Me" (a Nick O!) 11. Forced attempt at a ballad, which is a follow-up to a song that shouldn't have been a hit, either. Pussycat Dolls - "Stickwitu" (a Nick O!)
(sidenote: When I think of it, a lot of these are almost as funny as they are offensive to me.)

I included "Get Loose" in 2003... (song is in a different genre as well).
I think you'll get #20; that should've been clear. If not for your Annoying List, I would've forgotten all about the song I was referring to in the #15 clue.
Whoops, looks like I accidentally left out "Shut Up". I would've tried fixing things, but I think the other songs in the current range are worse.

#14 is actually a bit more obscure, but now we're getting closer.
As for #15, people may not remember the song, but the artist has more than one correct guess if that helps.
