I don't listen to Christian music much anymore, but any idea, 1) why "better" isn't getting better airplay, especially considering "I can't do this" made it to #2, and 2) why in the world her album isn't coming out until February, which is I don't know how many months since ICDT came out?
It's good that her two recent releases are getting back to the quality of her first two albums. Although the fact that only "real" has crossed over shows what a terrible marketing job her labels have done, especially with missing out on "stranded".

I had no idea they/she had a christian background. Although I have heard about 5 of her songs now, and none of them are any worse than pretty good.

"I Can't Do This" went for CHR/Pop adds, correct? I've kept my ears out for it but haven't been able to find anywhere where I can listen to it. I have liked all three songs I've heard by her, "Damaged," "Real" (which Hits 106 played), and "Boys Don't Cry" (which went Top 10 on my chart.)

"I Can't Do This" probably would have done well on the mainstream rock formats if someone had put Evanescence cover art on the promo single, because otherwise no one would have been able to tell the difference. Not saying it wasn't a good song though -- it was a top 50 hit on my chart.
Plumb chart history:
(2003) #35 "Real" (2003) #18 "Free" (2005) #50 "I Can't Do This" (2005) #91+ "Better"

I like Plumb, but I just don't think the newer material compares to the first two albums. I had the self-titled album in my car nonstop for about six months in 1997, I just played it over and over again, so many great songs. candycoatedwaterdrops had less great songs, but it did have one awesome one, Late Great Planet Earth. The stuff from this century just doesn't have the same zing to it ya know...

Plumb just got cooler in my book. She (or whoever runs her Myspace page) actually sent me a friend request instead of the other way around.
