Nick's Notes:
1-10:
A little bit of a shake up in the Top 10, as airplay for "Almost Easy" at the expense of "Afterlife" is annoying enough for me to not want to hear "Almost Easy" for awhile. And since I bought the Shiny Toy Guns record last week, both their songs rise, with "You Are the One" even moving into the Top 3. "Degausser" doesn't rebullet, rather "Summer Love" and "Apologize" fell too much, though I did get a real copy of that record too, this past week. I really wish "Apologize" would cool off nationwide, because not only am I at risk of overexposure, I just don't want them to be remembered only for that one song.
11-20:
Rather than try to familiarize myself with unknown albums this past week, I just wanted comfort music in the car, so Avenged found their way back in again. This past week I also reserved a block of time to watch every video (and play songs w/o videos) on the Alternative Top 50, since there isn't a decent enough show I can listen to once a week and hear all the current songs. So couple with AT40, "Shadow of the Day" moves back up.
Everything else:
My video watching and AT40 listening explains movement for everything that's left with the exception of "Run," for some reason.
Frankly, even with my new, easier format, putting up my personal charts is starting to feel like an obligatory chore. I was late on putting up last week's and wasn't even interested enough in writing about this one to finish the commentary with any specificity. Thanks for reading and we'll see how this pans out...
And nobody remembers "Misery Business" scraping my contender list for a couple weeks at the end of January, but yes, this chart indicates that I've started to come around on Paramore. So much so that I went out of my way to download Riot! last week. (Not that I've listened to it yet.) I always hate, though, how by charting something late, it gives the illusion that I wasn't aware of a song/band previously.
