This one hasn't yet been done & I never really get tired of doing these.. 01. Love Like Winter: A+ 02. Days of the Phoenix 03. The Leaving Song, Pt. 2 04. Totalimmortal: A 05. Miss Murder 06. Girl's Not Grey: A- 07. The Missing Frame: B+ (How did a Killers' Hot Fuss out-take appear on the AFI record? )08. Silver and Cold: B09. Third Season 10. He Who Laughs Last I have very infrequently heard 9 & 10, but the first seven were harder for me. Exactly ten of 'em.. nice.

01. Girl's Not Grey A+ 02. The Leaving Song, Pt. II 03. Days of the Phoenix 04. Love Like Winter 05. Miss Murder 06. Silver and Cold 07. Totalimmortal A 08. The Missing Frame 09. Third Season A- 10. He Who Laughs Last B+
I'm surprised they never released an official single/video off Black Sails in the Sunset. Nevertheless, "God Called in Sick Today" always closes their main live sets.

1. The Leaving Song Pt. 2 A+ 2. Miss Murder 3. Girl's Not Grey 4. Love Like Winter 5. Days Of The Phoenix A 6. Silver and Cold A- 7. Rabbits Are Roadkill on Rt. 37 (why not?) 8. The Missing Frame
"Days of the Phoenix" was used on the Detroit Tigers' radio network all season long as one of the intro's to their returns from commercial breaks. I didn't even know what it was at first, thinking "What is this song? Sounds like an A.F.I. riff, but I don't know where I've heard it before...", until it randomly spun in my media player, during which I was able to ID the track and grow admiration for whoever selected such an obscure single for the network. I mean, "Paralyzer" is another intro they use.
"Girl's Not Grey" was my #1 song of 2004, but over time, "The Leaving Song Pt. 2" stood out more as the stronger track. "Love Like Winter" is almost the same way with the latest album. Perhaps another year might change that. And that shows just how closely packed 1 thru 4 are on this list.

"Rabbits Are Roadkill" would get an A. I was floored last year, when Decemberunderground wasn't even 1 week old yet and I was watching a Cardinal game vs. the Brewers. The PA at the Brewers' stadium played an instrumental clip from "Prelude 12/21"! I can't remember if it was theme music for a Brewer batting or if it was just a random interlude the music director(?) used. (I think I would've made a point to remember the batter if it had been theme music.)

...And if "Rabbits" is included then so should the cover of "Head Like a Hole." Former gets an A- and latter gets A.

f***, I can't believe I didn't remember either of those songs when making my list.
"Head Like a Hole" gets an A.

I included RrR because it was in the top 50, so it had to have gotten some type of push. I recognized HLAH but disincluded it because I thought it was just a video game track and don't think it got out of the seventies on the chart.
I did buy the San Andreas game just for that song though; just haven't played it enough to get to whatever part in which it's played.

Usually the batters and relief pitchers all get to choose a song or songs to enter to, unless they have a name that would allow for a gimmicky choice, like Mike Myers and the Halloween theme. I remember reading an article a couple years ago that listed the entrance themes for the starting lineups of every major league team and thought that was a fairly interesting read.

Gimmicky choices: David Eckstein, leadoff hitter: Ludacris' "Number One Spot" Scott Rolen: Limp Bizkit's "Rollin' "
