Tournament - Top 100 songs of 1990

Okay, so I did a 1989 tournament in the final days of the R&R boards, I figured it was about time I moved on and did the one for 1990. Pretty simple, I'll post the matchups, vote for your favorite of each pair, higher vote getter moves on. Eventually, we'll determine the top song pick for the SMB folks.

Since, we're doing 100, I'm starting with a play-in mini tournament, the winner of which will become "#96" whether it's actually song 96 on the chart or not. So, it will be just 24 hours of voting for the mini tournament, 48 hours for each round after that. Have fun! (oh, by the way I'm using the official year-end Billboard pop chart for 1990, in case you were curious.)

#99 Mentirosa - Mellow Man Ace vs #100 Tic Tac Toe - Kyper

Haven't heard the Motley Crue song in question, but the Crue easily bests Mellow Man Ace in general.

I've never even heard of #97, so my vote is for "Thieves in the Temple," which is the first song so far I actually know.
