A Top 20 Pop song from the fall of 1979. Very melancholy song, but a great melody - sort of implying remaining positive despite a bad situation, which is actually in the lyrics - he's saying that he's having a bad night, but at least it's going to end sometime.
Sawyer Brown did a remake of this song, which charted on the country charts near the end of 1997. It's also good, but doesn't hold a candle to Michael Johnson's version.
