My iPod mini now holds a charge for MUCH less time than it did before. My guess is that it's just the battery life. However, I have AppleCare coverage on it, which expires this fall. Will they replace the battery for me?

Well here's my history of iPod replacements:
iPod: 1 pixel stuck as red, due to me accidentally knocking it from leaning to the side of my desktop to the desk. Oops.
Earphones: Constant playing in loud volume caused the earbuds to produce a "crackling" sound whenever I listen to anything with high bass.
Earphones: Probably due to me wrapping the earphones tight, my earphones (both channels) would sometimes produce only half of its sound and I would have to fiddle the jack every so often to get back the full sound.
iPod: Mentioned above. iPod Replacement #4: I put it in my back pocket when I went to a bar. Got pretty trashed that night and the morning after I realized I totally f***ed up the screen. And by f***ed up, I mean the internal of the screen was totally cracked and the liquid crystal was smeared all over and half of the screen was filled with funny colours and was unreadable. Thank god I'm still under AppleCare warranty, I've sent it back and they've already shipped my a replacement. They probably didn't think much of it because only the screen was cracked and the rest of the iPod body looked fine and didn't look like it was abused (i.e. dropped).
Oooooops... so uh... don't do that!

I fell in, but it was for $10 and no tax...haha
It's by scan/san disk the people who make the chips for cameras and cell phones. It's okay, but I don't care much for it. It wasn't a bad price, so I figured I can resell it higher after I play with it a while. It holds 500 songs, but I've only put on about 135 and likely won't go over 200.
It's got a radio/picture viewer thing as well and voice recording, but I still don't see the hype. The sound quality is really good, but I'd prefer to blast my CDs.

I bought a silicone case for my iPod and I left it in there for like eight months since I didn't want the stainless steel backing to get scratched. So I finally take it out one day, and it's scuffed up all over. $20 well spent.
