Our station has been playing a live version of this and renewed by love of this song. I had forgotten about it. I LOVE the lyrics.

Yeah, me too. I voted for it all the time on Hits 106's top 9 at 9 when it was out. They're playing at San Diego's indie fest, which I'm not going to, but FM 94.9 has given this song a few more spins than usual.

The real VS or the crappy new incarnation of VS (as in, w/o Nina Gordon)? I like it quite a bit. Enjoyable song.

This is really good and I like "Volcano Girls" a little more. I have a feeling that if I followed the music I do now back when those songs came out, I would have really been into this band.

This and "Volcano Girls" are both great power-pop. I'm surprised this band didn't have any other hits.

I clearly remember buying American Thighs on the last day of 1994. I liked it quite a bit. I seem to have bought this just before the song broke really big. I was a newly minted rock fan, as "alternative rock" was eclipsing my interest in pop. I was in a record store, saw this, and knew I really liked "Seether." It could've been some other band, but maybe this was cheap or something.
