I remember when this was THE JAM at my school. God I had forgotten this song! (Our stations are playing a lot of old school DC songs for some reason-I cant imagine they are doing it for the few week old GH, but maybe )

I admit this was kind of a guilty pleasure for me the first couple listens, but it became way too annoying way too fast and it's still an F[/color] to this day. Back then I didn't hate this group nearly as much as I do now, so chances are if this had been released today I probably would've hated it from the start.

It's the only overplayed DC hit I could ever stand. I still like "No No No" though.

I like the song, but it isn't THAT great. How this song could go to #1 yet the far superior Say My Name couldn't is just horrible.

Hey man, "Say My Name" just set the stage.
I liked this just fine when it was out. I loved "Independent Women," actually. (It was a bona fide Top 10 hit on my chart, which normally eschews pop songs for not being good enough)
But it was all (sharply) downhill from there. Solo careers included. "Lose My Breath" is the only partially redemptive song they've ever had, with me. Well, I guess "Girl" was decent, too, actually.
