Nick's Notes:
The biggest fall this week was 3 and the biggest jump was several tied with 3, so I didn't bother marking the rockets and anchor on the chart. Slow chart this week, if you didn't already notice.
"The Kill" still has a fighting chance for #1. I hear it regularly and have had to start changing the station on it sometimes, so I don't burn out on it. "Tonightless" has an excellent chance at #1 once the record comes out on the 18th.
"Blinded in Chains" gains because I listened to the record in the car on my birthday and track 5 (skipping "Bat Country") was as far as I got with no distractions. Atreyu is hurting from no attention. Let's see what happens to them (and Avenged and Bleeding Through) in two weeks after I've been to Ozzfest. I'm guessing once I see "Seize the Day" and hear it on radio, it'll be a #1 for sure, likely duking it out in a couple of weeks with AFI, 30stm, and 18V.
"Paralyzed" can't break any new ground, nor can "I Write Sins." Owning the new record helps "Rooftops" hop onboard the Top 40. KNSX still plays "Sixteen Candles" regularly, so having taken a break from it, it sounds relatively fresh still. Getting my hands on a burned copy of Panic's CD causes "Martyrdom and Suicide" to gain. And "Crazy" reappears after a long absence. I really don't hear it as much as the rest of America seems to. KNSX doesn't play it, I've heard it once on KPNT, I've started to hear it a couple times on one of my pop stations, and I haven't watched any videos on VH1 or MTV lately. (They're all from 2-ish to 9 or 10 AM, depending on the channel. Can you blame me?) Anywho, thanks for reading this week.
