Nick's Notes:
Geez, I just noticed how much killing is taking place on my chart. Recently, there was Bleeding Through's "Kill to Believe," which just fell off completely last week. Currently, we have "The Kill," "Killing Loneliness," Rock Kills Kid, "Kill Caustic," and "The Killing Lights." Wow. That seems to be a hot "death" verb in the brand of music I enjoy.
Anyway, with "The Kill" being a slow-burning national hit (yea!), and seeing the video at least 3-4 more times earlier this week at my girlfriend's house (she sleeps a lot, leaving me idle to watch countless hours of videos), it has an outside chance at #1, once again. I saw a video for "Tonightless," making that the first time I've noticed national attention to the song, so it may be a future #1 as well. I find myself never bothering to listen to "Vicarious" on the radio anymore; it just requires too much time. Surely "The Adventure" can find its way to the Top 5 soon.
"The Missing Frame" seems to be KROQ's de facto second AFI single, so that's probably gonna be the next one.
Saw the video for "Killing Loneliness" 3 times between Fuse and MTV2. Too bad there wasn't much room for it to grow this week. And apparently the full(?) "Miss Murder" video contains "Prelude 12/21" before it, which I happened to catch most of, when it came on Fuse once.
It looks like I've reached the saturation point for "MakeDamnSure" and it has peaked. Seeing the video several more times didn't help it at all. I listened to some of Stadium Arcadium on the way to my girlfriend's, so some songs rebound, if not fall slower. Just as Brandon said, "Love in Slow Motion" is going to be the next Bleeding Through single. Ideally, I'd like to see it's video (out soon) before it falls off my chart as an album cut. Maybe Ozzfest can cure that in the meantime.
"What You Know" almost made it back on the chart, somehow. Just from hearing it on pop or CHR/Rhythmic radio, I guess. Finally "Rooftops" shows up, along with its cousin, "Ready to Fall"; the only new songs to my chart this week. "Frolic Room" stumbles just as it unbelievably debuts on the Alternative chart. I haven't heard it on the radio again yet. Thanks for reading this week.
