Nick's Notes:
After 33 weeks, the king is dead. (And I had to listen to them back to back again this week to make up my mind.) "Bat Country" at long last descends to #2, but no love lost because they kick themselves out, returning to #1 with "Beast and the Harlot." Not sure if "Ex's and Oh's" will be able to make it all the way to #1, but we'll see how this pans out in the coming weeks. I listened to City of Evil in the car last weekend, and "Strength of the World" manages to eclipse "The Wicked End" again, as happens every so often. "Sorry" leaps into the Top 10, but who knows for how long.
"The Kill" cuts through most of the Top 20, a sure Top 5 smash in the next few weeks. Cutting its number in half is "Shameful," an Atreyu song I just might end up liking more than the single.
"Cash Machine" unfortunately steps back. I really like it, but I don't hear it regularly.
"Image of the Invisible" may fall off soon, but no matter, seeing as how KNSX seems to have added in "Red Sky" this week. "Just Stop" re-enters, but won't get much further.
It's questionable how well any of the songs on the contender list would do if they even made the Top 40. Thanks for reading.
