Nick's Notes:
"Beast and the Harlot" jumps back up to #7 (not that there's much competition between any of those 4 right now) because they performed it at the end of TRL yesterday. It's probably too much to ask, but just once I'd like to hear "Jesus of Suburbia" on the radio.
If "Not Now" or "Stricken" end up making the Top 10, they'll both be too weak to get any further. "Perfect Situation" will likely miss the Top 10. "Speak Easy" probably will too.
I really didn't hear "Talk" this past week, otherwise this would've been the week it surpassed "Fix You." Next week. "Soul Meets Body" and "Save Me" likely won't even get to the Top 20. "Bug Eyes" keeps hanging in there because I hear it on KNSX just as it seems it's getting closer to falling off.
The two best tracks on Bleeding Through's great new album storm the chart as this week's only two debuts. "Kill to Believe" is the actual single, whose video was just released. (I haven't seen it yet.) "Hypnotize" is done. "Touch It" and next week surely, "Be Without You" add some much needed hip hop/R&B to my chart; there hasn't been a top quality urban cut in so long. New NIN steps back because I didn't hear it this past week.
"Holiday" finally falls off. "Move Along" will impact very soon. More Bleeding Through is on the way.
Atreyu's new single exclusive to the new Underworld movie soundtrack (another brand new video I've yet to see) hits the contender list, as does the new Prince single. Prince may be in trouble if I don't constantly see it on BET, though. That'll be the only way to hear it, plus, it's not good enough to be a bang-up hit on my Top 40 anyway. "Luxurious" is sticking around. Those A7X dinosaurs are about gone for good, finally. The floor fell out from under "DOA," and that about does it for this week. Thanks for reading.
*An interesting fact I just noticed: All 3 of the With Teeth singles have debuted on my Top 40 exactly 20 weeks apart.
