Does anyone else have trouble choosing a #1? The current top 6 of my chart really deserves to be at #1 and Im having trouble choosing orders for them. I feel like Im screwing songs by loving so many at one time. How do you guys break ties or whatever? (and yes, I realize I am a loser for putting this much thought into a personal chart...but its my hobby and I enjoy, especially when I become burned out working two other jobs and being a student )

Try listening to all six songs and then decide from there which you like most to least, even if it's merely splitting hairs.

I'm having that issue right now actually. This is my third straight week with a new #1. There are too many songs towards the top of the chart that feel like #1's to me. I don't really have a system to decide though. I just go with my gut.
"Jesus Of Suburbia" is probably going to solve this problem for me soon when it goes to #1 and stays there for 10 weeks.

I try not to let myself become biased by choosing to listen to a song second (or third, if there are three songs fighting for the top) though. I think it's called the recency effect... ?

Sometimes, it's just the opposite for me and there are virtually no songs on my chart worthy of the number one spot. I need to keep on top of new releases and give them a listen, because I'm sure that I've totally missed out on a few great songs that didn't do too well and weren't played on the radio but a few times.
