Hot Michael Jackson remake! Kidding, of course, but it's bizarre how Janet puts out a song, 29 years after the fact, with the same title as an undeniable classic by her brother. I noticed that she was sending this one to CHR/Rhythmic next week and was excited, as this song kicks so much ass. It's easily her best single since "Someone to Call My Lover," for my money. But then I got bummed, when I noticed that she's sending "Luv" to Urban next week. What's up with that? Granted, I discovered the songs simultaneously, but how is that gonna be effective for either one of them? And why the hell didn't she release "Rock with U" as her comeback single, since it smokes "Feedback" so handily?

Wow this song is good, it's like a straight-up vocal house track! I can totally see why it's not a lead single though. It's definitely not a club banger and I guess that's what she was hoping for when she released "Feedback." And I can see why this is not being pushed to Urban because there is nowhere in hell they would even touch this single. It's way too electronic for Urban. Hell, if they barely played Kanye's "Stronger", there's no way they would touch this

Damn...she is on the second single already at Rhythmic? I guess that make sense since "Feedback" has basically flopped at pop, rhythmic and urban. This is a hot song nevertheless. I guess Janet needs to have a mindset that she is going to focus on making music for her fans to enjoy rather than attempting to create massive hits. Isn't she supposed to be making babies by now...though? lol.
It is a different time now and those superstar selling numbers she used to make from the Rhythm Nation era in the early 90's don't even cut the cake anymore (Heck Rihanna, Alicia Keys, etc..don't even come close to those numbers) thanks to digital downloads and other forms of electronic media.
