I don't know why it took me this long to post about this song and I've been hearing this song for quite some time. I happen to enjoy it. DJ Khaled, is probably the first rapper to debut of Arabian descent. Now I hate to glorify the persona or any paraphernalia representing a "hood" way of life, but the sound has a groovy summer vibe that I like. It is currently an Urban top 10 hit, and Rhythmic top 25 hit. Similarly as one poster pointed out, I bet many Southeasterners and Westerners can enjoy this track more than I can right now being from the Northeast. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRNrd2s1gdY (Warning: Uncensored Lyrics)

Incidentally, I downloaded this album last week to some day listen to it to see if I like it. With so many featured guests on every track, it'd be pretty hard to go wrong. However, to clarify. DJ Khaled isn't a rapper. Even his title as "DJ" is dubious. He doesn't even make beats or produce the tracks. As far as I can tell, he just wrangles all his guest artists and ad-libs bulls***, such as, "WE THE BESSSSSS!"

A local DJ on NYC rhythmic's station Hot 97 was actually giving DJ Khaled respect on the air, saying that many folks want to hate on him, when he actually gets several hiphop night clubs "crunking." Technically he is not an actual rapper but he is associated with the performance of rap music.

Technically he is not an actual rapper but he is associated with the performance of rap music. Remember Fat Man Scoop? 2 years ago on Missy's "Lose Control," and Mariah's "It's Like That" and I'm sure other way lesser-known songs. Haven't heard anything from that guy since then. And rightfully so.

Oh c'mon now, his single "Be Faithful" which heavily samples Faith Evans' "Love Like This" was and is STILL a staple at many clubs now. Hmm, I didn't realize that "We Takin' Over" was produced by Danja, interesting...
