Well rapper Cassidy has experienced a bit of adversity in the last couple of years: being locked up after his successful gold sophomore album (featuring his hot hit "I'm a Hustla") for involuntary manslaughter charges and sustaining serious injuries in a car crash. Now he is back alive and well with a club jam that is getting a lot of play around here on Rhythmic/Urban radio NYC and presumably throughout the Northeast. The video is currently among the top 10 at BET's "106th and Park." www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQT_dLF6JbUI'm really feeling this track! Swizz Beats (one of the richest producer masterminds of hip hop) hooked him up.

I HATE songs about other songs. People have been doing two steps with a drink in their hands for years at clubs... lol

Oh of course, I'm sure this has nothing to do with DJ Unk or T-Pain.

Oh of course, I'm sure this has nothing to do with DJ Unk or T-Pain. Yes, because T-Pain is the only artist who's sung about a drink. If anything you should be taking T-Pain to task for that very song, for using other song catchphrases, including Unk's. As for Unk, hip hop has been mentioning the "two-step" for years now. Heard this again today, but don't remember it yet.

I like this song, maybe because I love PatrĂ³n.

Heard this again today, but don't remember it yet. Close, but not exactly the case. The truth is that when T-Pain saw Keri Hilson for the first time at the 2003 Grammys, he immediately was jawdropped at her gorgeous and intricate level of beaty. To try to show off his skillz, he offered to "buy Keri a drank" while doing a two-step. Keri, of course, a non-alcoholic angel, had to graciously decline, but ever since then, whenever T-Pain or any of his wannabes (such as Unk) say something about "my drank" or "my 2step" they are referring to Keri Legenson. It's mind-boggling to think of what an inspiration she has been across the genres of music! GO GERL!
