For as long-awaited as the UGK comeback album was, and as hot as this song is, why isn't it one of the biggest songs on both Urban formats and threatening to bust up the Pop chart as well? I just don't get it. Radio's only giving it a tepid response it seems.

Hasn't this been around for like 6 months? I remember playing it way back.

I just heard it for the first time today on BET and it's pretty hot. I'm rather surprised at how much recent OutKast singles have flopped. They're not all bad.
This song is climbing on Urban, so I guess there's still hope.

I just heard it for the first time today on BET and it's pretty hot. I'm surprised it took so long for you to hear it. You're usually right on top of things, regarding urban-leaning songs.

I'm surprised it took so long for you to hear it. You're usually right on top of things, regarding urban-leaning songs. Heh, well first of all, I rarely listen to the radio. The Rhythmic station at Kitchener-Waterloo recently flipped to Pop and I can't stand listening to over 35% Canadian Content, which is also why I rarely listen the Urban station in Toronto. So my only exposure is browsing the Rhythmic chart and randomly listening to songs that may be interesting and/or may become big, as well as video channels. And UGK really wasn't an artist that would normally catch my attention, so I didn't try to go out of my way to hear it. Alright, that's enough of my life stories.

The track won Best Collaboration on the BET Hip Hop Awards 07'.

Good.
Too bad it wasn't the crossover hit it should've been. Motherf***ers. There's rarely any justice in pop music.

Sad news to report. It looks like one half of the duo UGK, rapper Pimp C was found dead in an L.A. hotel room, aged 33.

Still big pimpin', spendin' cheese, with the Jigga Man, Pimp C, and B-U-N B...
Well damn, RIP. All that time away from the scene and they finally reel in Outkast to be their featured artist and now this happens. This is the first I've seen about this too. Although on Pulse anytime it's a rapper who dies, it takes someone other than John to post about it.

My asst. mgr. bought their latest album as a used buyback last summer. I told him I'd like for him to copy it for me. He already uploaded it for himself and sold it back. 3+ months later, I'm still waiting. Oddly enough, I just brought it up to him again last week, after seeing two used copies of it among a shipment we received. If I'd seen a customer return it during all this time, I'd have bought it back, and burned it off myself. He claims he's never forgotten, but is generally too busy and is waiting for the right moment. And now Pimp C dies...

Yes, very sad. I was listening to my local urban station WBLS this evening on the Wendy Williams Experience show (www.thewendywilliamsexperience.com). She done an interview with UGK a few weeks ago and I was really impressed with Pimp C as a rapper. He seemed very articulate, coherent and conscious about life, happily married with kids and no signs of any serious drug use. (There are some speculation that drug activity contributed to his death.) Pimp C was also the most vocal of the duo.
