New single from Madonna premiered yesterday and it looks like it's blowing up on radio.
It may sound like a desperate career move, but this track is actually pretty hot.

I only have a radio rip from a few weeks ago and I'll reserve comment until I get to hear an official version. (The real one I saw was up for "one day only" and it went up and down before I even got to visit again.) The album cover is very drool-worthy:

I'm curious to hear this, I enjoy Madonna's music. Concerning the album cover, I think Madonna is pretty but she doesn't sexually excite me. In fact I think she lacks a bit in the sex appeal department. Maxim ranked the top 5 'Unsexiest Women of 2007' and Madonna befittingly was number four. www.azcentral.com/ent/celeb/articles/1026maxim-CR.htmlTo venture off topic, Fox released an article today with Sarah Jessica Parker who was ranked #1 on the list last year, stating how much she was hurt by the rankings: www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,339673,00.html

Just heard this a few days ago. Line 2 of Sunny's post sums it up pretty well.

On paper, a Madonna/Timbaland/Justin Timberlake collaboration sounds like it would be an eargasm for me. While the hard, throbbing track is very catchy and is a good tune, I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed overall, considering the participants. It's nowhere close to being one of her best singles. A future Top 10 for me, but I can only dream this will wind up in the Top 5 nationwide. Considering Madonna will be 50 this summer, that Confessions on a Dance Floor sadly had no staying power, and that American Life bombed (understandably, though), I can't help but feel like the Pop audience is pushing Madonna out and fear that "4 Minutes" won't even reach the Top 10.
With Timbaland, Danja, and the Neptunes producing everything on Hard Candy, though, I fully expect the album to be an eargasm for me. Looking forward to it.
But, uh, why is "4 Minutes" edited down to only 3:11 for radio? I presume the full track is at least :49 longer, right? Is the rest of it all introductory or otherwise transitional audio, then?

The version I have is 4:05. Well it definitely it not a Madonna-classic, but it easily blows away any single from her last 2 albums at least, maybe even 3.

Hung Up > 4 Minutes Sorry > 4 Minutes Get Together > 4 Minutes Jump ? 4 Minutes Die Another Day > 4 Minutes 4 Minutes > American Life 4 Minutes > Hollywood 4 Minutes > Nothing Fails Love Profusion ? 4 Minutes Music > 4 Minutes Don't Tell Me > 4 Minutes What It Feels Like for a Girl ? 4 Minutes By the way, all the greater-than signs point to songs that not only beat "4 Minutes" but blow it away.

Just bought the video on iTunes. It is great! I like the visuals. I spoke too soon. lol... Madonna looks really hot in the video. Way better than the way she is depicted on the album cover IMO.

In that case, I can't wait to watch it sometime this week. Tomorrow, if I have ample time.
