Why are all her songs so full of clichés?!
Just look at the first few lines of the song: "If I should die/before I wake/It's 'cause you took my breath away/losing you is like living in a world with no air"
That totally sounds like something from a book of cheezy pickup lines!
Aside from that, the song is still pretty harmless so I don't find it any worse than "Tattoo."

I need to hear it more before evaluating.
(Maybe not, though. We'll see...)

I guess this song is harmless enough, but I could definitely do without it. The "Air-Uh"s in the chorus sound exactly like the "Aay-Oh"s in the chorus of "No Matta What" by Toya, which is far superior to this.

Looks like she's got herself her first Top 10 Rhythmic hit, her first Top 20 Urban hit and probably her first #1 Pop hit, probably all thanks to Chris Brown. Apparently John Mayer also thinks this song is amazing somehow: blog.honeyee.com/john/archives/2008/03/tunes_ilike.html

I like this now.
But unless there's some remix I haven't heard, this has no business being #5 and #9 on rhythmic and urban respectively right now.

I didn't believe Jordin would be this successful so soon. The track is infectious and the pair up is great. Yeah, yeah, yeah Chris Brown helped her with the success of "No Air" to a degree at Rhythmic and Urban. (The track fits the formats perfectly fine!)
She proved herself enough with a prior hit of her own at Pop. Chris was fortunate to have Jordin as well, than having a duet with some mediocre female singer. Jordin also won the 'Best New Artist' category at the NAACP Image Awards this year. Therefore, she carried her own weight too, in order to be successful at these formats, so no need to be sexist.

The best song on the pop chart right now, with Bleeding Love second for me. This deserved to be #1 for at least one week. But it's #1 on my personal chart!

So...Seacrest gave Sara Bareilles her first and only week at #1 last week, but then this week, he goes and slips Jordin & Chris in at the top, with Leona set to crush them like a tidal wave next week from #2.
