This used to be one of my favorite places! Anyone else like this place? In many towns it was the only restaurant where you could order mussels. My favorite dish was cheez ravioli with alfredo sauce. (It normally comes with meat sauce, and they charged $1 extra to sub alfredo sauce... ) I lost my interest in pasta a few years back though, so I haven't been there for awhile. Also I don't see them that often anymore, but I'd imagine they're still around.

Yeah, there's still two of them in my area. I figured they were everywhere. I like this place and probably don't go there as often as I should. There's another italian restaurant that just opened up called Bravo's that I like better. I don't know how widespread that chain has become, though. But I like The Olive Garden's side salads (i'm mad that I'm now required to use the word "side" to specify what type of salad I'm speaking of, due to the ridiculous but rising idea that a salad may be consumed as a main course), and you can't go wrong with the tour of italy. A friend of mine went there and actually ordered two tours of italy, both for himself. .

I love The Olive Garden! Their breadsticks are really good, and the menu is pretty wide.
When I was in Fort Collins, though, we had an Olive Garden and a Johnny Carino's. The latter was even better than Olive Garden.

I've eaten at the Olive Garden several times. The last time was almost exactly two years ago and I must say, it was not a very good experience.
What happened is that I was having dinner with "Lisa", a girl I had known for a few years. Then, a girl walking past (who at first I thought was an acquaintence of Lisa, but it turned out to be someone she'd never met in her entire life) accidentally knocked into her chair. Instead of saying, "Sorry about that" and walking on, which would have been the logical thing to do, but instead, she said something about having a bad week and, from there, it turned into a long conversation. Even when they weren't talking, "Becca" just stood there until something else came up. I figured it would occur to her that since we were two members of the opposite sex having dinner that JUST MAYBE IT WAS A DATE!! But she was either a total airhead or just didn't give a rat's tail. I talked about this situation at great length on another message board, but, in a nutshell, this friendship between Lisa and Becca grew to obsessive measures and they ended up spending every waking hour together. Lisa even broke a second date with me when she decided she'd rather hang out with Becca and even called in sick to work at least twice to spend the day with her (How do I know this? Lisa sent me e-mails, telling me in great detail about her friendship with Becca, until I finally shot her an e-mail, telling her how upsetting these e-mails were to me, that her priorities were way out of whack, and not to send me another e-mail because I would not respond).
As for the food, I think it's pretty good.
