For those who don't visit the Pop forum on Pulse (and for that, I wouldn't blame you), this is supposedly going for pop adds next month. Myself, I think it's even less pop-friendly than "Miss Murder", but we'll see.

Wow...I should've seen it coming. Will "This is who I really am!!!" survive this release?

It had better, since there's no other logical substitution to appropriately climax the bridge. I don't expect this to chart, but I've been floored by how well the retooled "Miss Murder" has done at Pop so far and my personal proof is hearing it #4 on a local pop station's nightly countdown one night I happened to tune in, and then in regular rotation just a few days ago. For those who don't visit the Pop forum on Pulse (and for that, I wouldn't blame you) Ha!

Well, considering "GO FIX YOURSELF!" from "Scars" and John Frusciante's guitar solo in "Dani California" didn't seem to survive the crossover, I have my doubts that this will avoid the chopping block.
I still can't believe how mind-bogglingly successful this has been, considering that "Attack" seemed, to me, like that was going to be the apex of their career in the mainstream realm.

The guitar solo at the end? How does it end on pop radio then? I was afraid that "Attack" was going to be their commercial zenith as well. Very glad to see that their career is justified now and that my favorite song of theirs has become a slow-burning smash that I hear all the time.

The guitar solo at the end? How does it end on pop radio then? Basically, it goes from the first few notes of the solo, then awkwardly cuts to the last few notes. And I thought the pop edit of "Like A Stone" was bad. Oddly, KBKS actually played that song in full, and they're one of the more rock-friendly pop stations on the panel, so I have no idea what's going on.

The thing about "Scars" being tamed for Pop radio was this: "Last Resort" made the top 40! If they'd cleaned that up, we'd have an acapella version of the bridge, and that's about it.

Great news to report: Not only is "The Kill" the four-time defending champion of WABB's "New Music Smackdown", they played the whole song with no edits. I was shocked. (As you can tell from the link, WABB is at the least a balanced pop station, and is probably rhythmic-leaning.) It edged out Akon & Eminem's "Smack That" ( Smack that ass til your hand is sore... ) by 3 votes. I had 2 of them. The DJ certainly didn't do 30STM any favors; they only played two rock songs during the one-hour voting period ("Far Away" and "Lips of an Angel"... predictable).

I've heard it several times on several Pop radio stations and the play the original of "Dani California."
I've also heard the original version of "Miss Murder" being played on a pop radio station (WBDR).

He sounds like a poor man's Twista.

Something's been bothering me for awhile now about the video. At the beginning, it sounds like Jared says they've got the place for three days, but later a title card says "One week later." Am I missing something there?
(And I think in the book/movie, the Torrences are supposed to spend five or six months at the hotel before things go wrong.)

It'll do better than "Last Train Home" did. Can't say I saw it coming.
