Is this song f**kin' weird, or what? It took me a minute to figure out what it was, and I'll admit, at first I didn't even realize it was a guy, let alone Justin, because the vocals are so distorted. It almost reminded me of Kelis' current song, though, obviously, that wasn't it.
I mean, I knew going in that Justin's new song would be something totally different, because I'd read that, and also that he channeled inspiration from David Byrne (Talking Heads) and David Bowie for his approach to how he sang the vocals (I know Bowie's stuff real well and I couldn't see it). Still I wasn't expecting this. I dig it, though. It's real fresh and is absolutely one of the best songs on pop radio. It may even court my personal chart in the future.

I would compare the sound more to Kelis' "Milkshake" than "Bossy."
But yeah, I like this a lot, it's different and it's top-notch Timbaland production.

Yep, it's weird... but not the good kind of weird, yet. The continual "take it to the bridge" and "take it to the chorus" parts are annoying, especially since it doesn't seem to me that they're going straight to the bridge and chorus of the song, respectively.
I will say, though, that it's a lot better than "Bossy". [shudder]

I kind of like the take it to the chorus/bridge parts...except for the exact thing you mentioned. They DONT go straight to the bridge chorus....it bugs me

I dunno, the line "I'm bringing sexy back" just seems too weird and lame for me to enjoy. I'll give him credit for not trying the same thing from his last album (the singles of which I despised), but I can't really like this much either, at least not immediately.
