I hope we can keep things as well in this year as we did the last. It's been going good...

Agreed. Happy new year, everyone.
Final song of 2005: Louis Xiv - "Finding Out True Love Is Blind" First song of 2006: the song Hillary Duff tried to sing at her New Year's Rockin' Eve performance. Not a good sign that it only took five minutes to find a very strong candidate for worst song of 2006. Second song of 2006: Pussy Cat Dolls - Dont Cha (worst original song of 2005.) Third song of 2006: Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. (fine, but one of the most overplayed songs of 2005) Fourth song of 2006: P. O. D. - Alive (most overplayed song of '01/'02, probably) Fifth song of 2006 - O. A. R. - Love And Memories (finally, one that I don't hold anything against yet.)

Happy New Year, guys!
Last song of 2005: The Autolux album, so I guess (checks Amazon.com) "Capital Kind of Strain."
First song of 2006: The ninth song off the Polyphonic Spree's 2003 record, which is...well Amazon doesn't give it's specific title, but my friend chose it on purpose and it seemed very fitting as we all watched Times Square on a muted TV.
Right now: As I Lay Dying's Shadows Are Security album, as I try to cram as many still somewhat unfamiliar albums I got this past year as possible before I'll have to stop sometime tomorrow and start on my best albums list. (This probably won't make it.)

Happy New Year.
I was at the club last night and got home at 7:30am. Needless to say, I was exhausted.
Last song of 2005: Hypnotize - The Notorious B.I.G. First song of 2006: Satisfaction - Benny Benassi (Now everyone knows this song because of the stupid Burger King commercials)

First song of 2006: Satisfaction - Benny Benassi (Now everyone knows this song because of the stupid Burger King commercials)Joining "Jerk It Out" as my I Knew It Before Those Sellouts Did award of '05. (Unlike "JIO", I have my personal charts as further proof of this... and my all-time fav. vids) From what I remember: Last song of 2005: Hot Hot Heat - "Circus Maximus" First song of 2006: De/Vision - "E-Shock" Would that Polyphonic song happen to be "Light & Day" (paired with some other song; Delaughter sure loves to do that), which was the single from it?

Yeah, "Satisfaction" is the current champion on my pop station's "New Music Smackdown" program. The DJ identified it as being from the Wendy's (is that what you meant, Sunny?) commercials. I didn't make it a point to keep track of the lasts/firsts, but I'm fairly sure the last song I heard on the radio was "Enter Sandman" just before midnight. I don't remember the first song of '06.

"Satisfaction" is old... like 2003-old... the dance/top 40 station here actually played it back then. I guess I don't mind it if it charts since I do love that song.
Hmm you're right. I could've sworn it was BK, until I google'd it. Oh well.

OK, I just want to say this. I don't believe people who are born on December 31 should celebrate their birthdays on that day. It just happened to be my stepmother's birthday, but I felt totally like it was New Year's Eve, and not like it was anyone's birthday. Not to say I didn't have a good New Year's Eve, but I just wanted to watch the ball drop at my house instead of my stepsister's house.
Oh yeah; Happy New Year, amigos!
Last complete song of 2005: Aqueduct - The Suggestion Box Last song of 2005: Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams First song of 2006: That Hilary Duff song, but that doesn't count so... Notorious B.I.G. - Big Poppa First complete song of 2006: The Saturday Nights - Motorin' (But that sucks so...) Second complete song of 2006: Social Distortion - Highway 101
