www.myspace.com/deathcabforcutieI'm sure I'll end up charting this, but this really isn't as good as I was expecting from them. Most of the intro is useless and goes absolutely nowhere for about three minutes. Then it finally builds to a climax, giving me the impression that something exciting is about to happen, but nothing ever does.

Why is this right outside the Top 10 in only its 3rd week on the chart?? It's DCFC, for god's sake. And it doesn't sound like it's anything extraordinary, either. My station hasn't touched this yet, to no surprise.

If this sounded anything at all like their other 2½ hits, it'd bore me to tears and I'd not be able to care less about it. But it's not. I like the arrangement on this one and I'm glad it's making headwaves and bringing a pulse to the chart.

I like the arrangement on this one and I'm glad it's making headwaves and bringing a pulse to the chart. That's awesome that an 8½ minute song is not only a first single from Death Cab for Cutie, but also only the second track on the album. I really liked it on first watch/listen.

Wow, that's interesting that it's so long. I heard it here the other day (the radio edit, obviously) and had as good as, or a better, first impression than any of their other stuff.

I think I'm obsessed with this song now. If anyone hasn't heard the full version yet, the opening 4 1/2 minutes is an instrumental intro. I liked the music better than the lyrics on the first listen of the radio edit, so needless to say I liked the full version even more.
