Active Rock: 54 50 DRAGONFORCE Through The Fire And... 136 89 47 0.411 Well look at ol' Guitar Hero III. That's also the reason the album is cheap on the Target endcap now. I think the album actually has a new sticker on it and everything. How badass is this! Finally they're getting a little radio love.

The only way I've heard of the song is also through Guitar Hero III... but only through a YouTube clip I saw of someone beating it on Expert.

I don't own the game (or any video game systems; I can't imagine having continual access to yet another distraction in my life like the GH series or Rock Band), but having played GH3 3 times, it was all I could do to get through the song on Easy. (Although I am proud of myself, because I tried it cold after not having tried it in a couple months, maybe.) It's so long, your hands and eyes get fatigued and it wouldn't be so bad, but Herman and Sam's solos just keep going forever, it seems.

Yeah, it's the only song I can't beat in Medium so far.

The song is amazing and so are they. The only problem is that all their songs, except that "Trail of Broken Hearts" ballad on their latest album, sound so similar, slamming you with those full-force non-stop rhythms, and it's hard to handle an entire album at once. I have to take it one song at a time.
The only reason I even want a PS2 (or 3) is for the GH/Rock Band series. Rock Band is the only one of those I've actually had a chance to play. There's a huge step up from Medium to hard, especially considering that drums and vocals on expert are so easy. That damn fifth fret. But I wanted to have at it with this song just on Medium.

I have to take it one song at a time. An excellent point. When I heard the album playing at my store last year, I cringed and was very vocal about my displeasure of them not only including, but closing the album with a predictable hair-metal power ballad. After listening to the record a bunch, it's an alright song...I guess.
