Just cracked the top 30 on alternative. I can't get enough of this right now.

The record is amazing. I have it in the middle on my album ranker. They had the right singles chosen from the album; usually you expect one to be irrational or even totally blow chunks. But not the way that it looks. I may try getting some of the songs on the older, independent-released versions of the album that were later removed. I hope next time around that if they're openers that I'm more interested in seeing the other groups for about $30. And Blue October opening, I didn't care enough, even though I've enjoyed all of their singles.

So I heard this on KNSX that one time, when was that, about Halloween? I remembered it from last year and loved it. Yeah, I haven't heard it on the radio since and if not for that one time, I'd be totally oblivious to this song right now still.

I may try getting some of the songs on the older, independent-released versions of the album that were later removed. I have all of version 2.0 of their CD, which I could upload if you're interested. (the one in stores now is version 3.0, and I've never seen 1.0 anywhere. I've heard that the back versions on ebay will run you upwards of $200, much like Evanescence's Origin CD from awhile back. I didn't even realize they were that big.) They came around here twice and I'm mad that I didn't go see them. We Are Pilots is one of my two or three most listened to CD's of the year. I've never heard any of their songs on the radio and it wasn't even occur to me until I actually bought the record that the "Le Disko" that I'd been listening to all along was actually version 2. I'm amazed because I can't think of any other band that has had three sleeper hits in a row from one album. Normally after one, or even two, radio will either decide that they're going to play it, or not. Hopefully it's a sign pointing to their next album being pretty big.

Yeah, I'd be interested in hearing that one. I also hear they did a cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped" on that one, which also appears on a tribute album for the group.

OK, it's all up now. I did a search for "Stripped", because I want to hear it too, but no dice yet.

Steve, wikipedia (erroneously?) lists your elusive v1 as v2 and your v2 as their v1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Are_Pilots_%28v2%29I heard the ex-gf's copy of We Are Pilots in her car this past week (so proud of her for buying it recently). My interest in them is now akin to a rocketship leaving the launchpad. Their singles are all still extremely fresh to me. I was all set to burn your v3 (along with a ton of other stuff I had sitting on my hard drive) the other day, but studying the tracklistings and b-sides among the 3 different versions of the record, I was hoping to put as many of the non-v3 tracks on there as I could. It looks like it's possible for me to buy "Stripped" and their Prince/Sinead O'Connor cover of "Nothing Compares 2 U" off Amazon, so I may just do that.
