As expected, the song explodes onto the scene, currently at #29 in realtime. I'm impressed by how all the pieces of this song mesh together, which is something that normally doesn't stand out to me right away.
I'm pumped about the new album (November 28th), but wary, knowing that A Crow was the single most disappointing album I've ever owned. And just having a couple strong singles won't change a thing because I loved "Megalomaniac" and liked "Talk Shows On Mute" to a lesser extent. Their first three releases are all outstanding albums, but they'll have to prove themselves all over again with Light Grenades or else they may become a rare dropper from my "first-day-out purchase artists" list.

This one's pretty good, although if you ask me, it's average for an Incubus lead single. Also, is it just me or does the way he pronounces the title sound more like "Anomaly"?
I have to admit, though, that I haven't been much into Incubus since like the time Morning View's promotion died down. The album just doesn't do for me what it used to, but awkwardly, I find that works good as a "seasonal" album for me. Nice spring/summer album. I still really love Make Yourself though, although now when I talk about liking Incubus a lot, it feels like a nostalgic statement.

That's because the lyrics actually say "anomaly." He's just switching the emphasis from the second syllable to the first.

My friend did a similar thing as a doodle in class one day on a sheet of paper. Among other doodles, he, over the course of several minor modifications, turned "charlatan" into "Charlotte Anne."
