#1-#10:
"Witchcraft" should be #1 in 2 weeks' time. "Cigarettes In The Theatre" edged out "I Can Talk" by one spot for Two Door Cinema Club's highest peak so far (thanks for charting it, Eth . What Jason DeRulo was to 2009-10, Mike Posner is to 2010-11 with three top-10 hits now. The strange ride for Usher continues. The chart peaks of his singles since the release of Raymond v. Raymond:
"Papers" (Oct '09): NC
"Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" (Dec '09): NC
"Lil' Freak" (Mar '10): #20 (debuted Jun '10, peaked Aug '10)
"OMG" (Mar '10): #5 (debuted Apr '10, peaked Jun '10)
"There Goes My Baby" (Jun '10): NC
"DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" (Jul '10): #30 (debuted Jan '11, peaked Feb '11)
"Hot Tottie" (Aug '10): #9 (debuted Nov '10, peaked Jan '11)
"More" (Nov '10): #10+ (debuted Feb '11)
Then we have Girl Talk, who have had 2 songs in the top 10 for 6 of the past 7 weeks. "Triple Double" might be building an insurmountable lead for song of 2011 that was once led by "Black & Yellow" (which debuted 1 week earlier but is already out of the top 20).
#11-#20:
The ones to watch here are Wiz, Katy and Adele, as Fitz & the Tantrums have been fighting a current to get this far and Foster the People will probably not make the top 10 either. "Memories" became the 3rd member of the "How Exactly Did They Get To #3 Again?" club, joining "The Ghost Inside" and "Please Don't Go".
#21-#30:
No real breakouts here at all. Besides "On and On", the only rising track here with a good shot at the top 20 is "For the First Time".
#31-#40:
"Punching In A Dream" basically carbon-copies the structure of "Young Blood", but you don't see me complaining. "This Is Why We Fight" is a sneaky grower. I'm sad that I didn't pounce on the Lupe track months ago when I first heard it. Its target peak is the #13 or so that "Superstar" hit.
#41-#50:
Nope, I still haven't outgrown the open-mind mentality that lets Britney Spears still make my chart, although it's her first charter since... well, since 2009's "3". And "Kill the Lights", which almost hit my top 10 in remixed form just a few months before that. (Let's just move on.) Panic! At The Disco now has 5 charting singles with the exclamation point and 0 without it. Dev almost got backward-bulleted right out of the top 50, and at this point is almost certainly a goner for this upcoming week.
