"Black & Yellow" holds on by a thread for its 7th week at #1, thanks to switching over to spinning the remix. And over the past 20 weeks, there have been only three #1s:
Zac Brown Band "Free" (7 weeks)
Arcade Fire "We Used to Wait" (6 weeks)
Wiz Khalifa "Black & Yellow" (7 weeks)
To say nothing about the fact that the past three #1s are all of categorically different genres, I'm pretty sure that this is the first time three consecutive #1 songs have all been #1 for at least 6 weeks. Both 1 and 2 are unbulleted, but "No Love" should sneak past next week. Mid-March will be the window for "Triple Double"; the Girl Talk concert in Seattle is March 16th.
"All I Do Is Win" is unbulleted, and "Higher" and "Memories" both have minimal bullets, but all three slide up and benefit from oldsters "We Used to Wait" and "Please Don't Go" moving down. (Although the term is relative; "AIDIW" debuted just 2 weeks after "PDG" and was "new & active" for months before its debut, but like "Black & Yellow" it's had a remix to thank for further longevity.)
Speaking of concerts, mid-April might see an epic battle between "Young Blood" and "Cigarettes In the Theatre" for #1. The Naked And Famous are playing Seattle on April 11th, followed one day later by Two Door Cinema Club. Just a preview of possible future attractions.
Further down the chart, "Give a Little More" looks ready to easily surpass "Misery"'s peak of #33, while a simple Grammy performance seems to have decided brief battle of what Arcade Fire's third "single" will be for me.
