Incorrect -- but you have the correct artist. "Sexy Bitch"?

90. Lyric: "You couldn't even come in my room, it smelled like a kilo/Looked like me and two of my boys playing casino/Cali's all I keep in my bag in California"
87. The lowest-ranking song on this year's chart that made my top 5 (even counting tracks that straddled years), doing so in a dizzying 8-week rise and fall. It entered my chart after seeing it on a movie trailer. The song gives this band a third top-5 hit from the album on which it appears, three years after the other two (that both made my top 10 of 2007).
81. The second-oldest lead solo artist on the countdown. A song that appeared on my Top 400 of the 2000s starts with gunshots and the line, "f*** [name of artist]". The artist was guessed correctly as Jay-Z.

One last set of extensions on these three, because I don't have time to put up clues for 80-71 this weekend:
90. Lyric: "You couldn't even come in my room, it smelled like a kilo/Looked like me and two of my boys playing casino/Cali's all I keep in my bag in California/Tell them to give back my swag, they tryin' to clone it/You see my Louis chucks, Louis Flag, Louis frames, Louis belt/What that make me, Louis Mane?"
87. The lowest-ranking song on this year's chart that made my top 5 (even counting tracks that straddled years), doing so in a dizzying 8-week rise and fall. It entered my chart after seeing it on a movie trailer. The movie was "Dear John".
The song won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

87. Snow Patrol - "Set Fire To The Third Bar"? (Not like I've heard the song, but if I'm right, wouldn't I deserve at least this for having watched a chick flick movie trailer? .) 81. Jay - Z & Swizz Beatz - "On To The Next One" (Feels cheap here too, but, oh well.)

^ Those are both correct. Don't worry about the supposed cheapness; I'm just trying to move on here.

^ Those are both correct. Don't worry about the supposed cheapness; I'm just trying to move on here. I already know what #90 is (see earlier), but I don't want to take it without getting a clue that would make me get it honestly. From this last lyric update, I would've honestly realized it was not the rapper I originally thought it was and instead arrived at the correct one. Yet I still wouldn't be able to place the song, even though he was barely on the radio last year and I didn't hear any of his own dud singles he put out.

Okay then. No one gets #90. Drag, man. At first I thought it was either Rick Ross's "BMF" or his verse in Kanye's "Monster." Rather than waste time listening to either song, I Googled the lyrics and saw I was way off. Recognized it as Jeezy lyrics once you got to the "Louis Mane" section, but still couldn't place it as "Hard." Again, I was just hoping to get it honestly.

I had interpreted your comments as saying that you actually knew the song, but didn't want to take the point for it because you felt you hadn't earned it.

So what do you guys think? More clues, or should I just roll the rest of the chart out? (I'm hoping the board consensus is one of these options...)

I'd be cool with clues for the rest; there haven't been any guessing games this year and I kinda miss them. Plus I just posted the first part of my countdown and Davey hasn't posted any of his (but will be eventually he assures me), so it's not like you'd be revealing your countdown extraordinarily late or anything.

80. "And I know karma's gonna get me"
79. This song from a soundtrack wasn't released as a single, but nevertheless became this Mountain Time Zone group's highest peaker on my chart.
78. The vocals near the end of this song remind me of Damien Rice's "Volcano".
77. A review of this song states: "'[Song name]' melds slick electronic percussion and a searching, minor-key melody into something that echoes the duo's previous work without rehashing it."
76. This was her third top-5 hit, following two #1s from her first album. Another top-10 hit would follow later.
75. One of two American Idol contestants to make my year-end top 100 of 2010.
74. "I would rather be alone than pretend"
73. [This artist] is only the second artist to have his first two top ten Billboard Hot 100 hits in the same week. The first was fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado who entered the top ten in 2001 with "I'm Like A Bird" the same week as Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On", a remix of which included a credited contribution from Furtado.
72. "All caught up in the eye of the storm"
71. The three singles from their debut album hit #22, #29, and #36 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. This is the one that hit #29.

Dammit. For not being a lyrics guy, I would've gotten "Break Your Heart" and "Waiting for the End" immediately.
79. 3OH!3 "Follow Me Down" ?
I feel like I've read the review of #77 before...

78. The vocals near the end of this song remind me of Damien Rice's "Volcano". The group is British.
77. A review of this song states: "'[Song name]' melds slick electronic percussion and a searching, minor-key melody into something that echoes the duo's previous work without rehashing it." The duo's previous work was not as a part of this act.
76. This was her third top-5 hit, following two #1s from her first album. Another top-10 hit would follow later. She sort of shares an album title with "the queen of hip-hop soul".
75. One of two American Idol contestants to make my year-end top 100 of 2010. The other one was Adam Lambert.
In about 2 years, he's earned 7 Hot 100 hits as main artist and 13 more as a featured artist.
71. The three singles from their debut album hit #22, #29, and #36 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. This is the one that hit #29. The Google search "[band name] red hot chili peppers" returns about 73,000 results.

78. The vocals near the end of this song remind me of Damien Rice's "Volcano". The group is British. If you type their name carelessly, you might stumble into something NSFW.
77. A review of this song states: "'[Song name]' melds slick electronic percussion and a searching, minor-key melody into something that echoes the duo's previous work without rehashing it." The duo's previous work was not as a part of this act. One of them is a 5-time Grammy nominee for Producer of the Year.
76. This was her third top-5 hit, following two #1s from her first album. Another top-10 hit would follow later. She sort of shares an album title with "the queen of hip-hop soul". ...y'know, the 2005 album The Breakthrough by Mary J. Blige?
In about 2 years, he's earned 7 Hot 100 hits as main artist and 13 more as a featured artist. He has featured on Hot 100 hits from Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx (x2), Birdman (x2), Timbaland, Trey Songz (x2), Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Diddy-Dirty Money, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj.
71. The three singles from their debut album hit #22, #29, and #36 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. This is the one that hit #29. The Google search "[band name] red hot chili peppers" returns about 73,000 results. The title of this song is appropriate, considering how many of their singles hit the Alternative chart.

Just replying to let you know I'm not blowing this off, I just haven't had much time to look at these recently. Give me another day or two, and I'm sure I could get some of them by perusing your charts. If I have time during work this afternoon, I'll try and knock off a couple of them.
Broken Bells- "The High Road" comes to mind for #77 though.
