1-10:
Thrice have the top 2 positions, something I don't remember from any artist in the last year or so (We'll see in 4 more chart weeks what happens after the live impact). Maybe it happened with Santigold. A surprise hearing of "Crazy Tonight" on the radio keeps it steady. "Treat Me" might not be totally done, either. "The Reeling" is something I'm excited about. Maybe time for Top 5?
11-20:
Sadly, I don't get to hear Bat for Lashes often, but those two songs would be Top 5 with no question if I heard both regularly. "Check My Brain" could squeeze in the Top 10, but probably won't get higher than that. "Medicate" picks up since I have the album now.
21-30:
Hearing "East Jesus Nowhere" regularly. I "chose" "Little Shadow" as a "single" for my chart, since I feel an album as good should go 3 or 4 deep. I'm impressed with how steady the play (albeit sadly minimal) for "HWR" is though. It's amazing and I think I like it more than "Soft Shock" which I charted and made the Top 10. Those are all the gems from the album. Heard "The Great Divide" on the Music Choice channel which was a pleasant surprise. "Already Gone" is an excellent pop song. The first from her album that actually stood a chance at my chart, too!
The rest:I still sometimes hear "She Wolf" even if it's finished nationally. 31-33 all being steady is a sign of all of the action going on: Stuff that's peaked in interest and new songs making plenty impact. "It Don't Move Me" is a song I haven't heard in awhile, so it plummets. "At the Bottom" might get a resurgence at the end of the month, as well.
And next week there will be less explaining to do!
