Question-What is the easiest way to back up your Itunes music before an upgrade? Can I just move the music files to another folder on my computer? And what is your latest purchase? I like these posts Album-System of a Down preorder Song-Amarantine-Enya

I have the Itune player version 4.7, and it serves me just fine, so whenever it asks me to upgrade, I say 'no'. I'm usually hesitant to upgrade software because it's often more trouble than it's worth.
So I've never upgraded it, although I don't see why you'd need to back up the music files for that. Unless you mean to back up the music library, which you'd just go to File->Export Library, and then import it once you get the new version.
If they ever make an Itune player that lets you specify if each song has a hard or soft ending, I will be getting that upgrade (for fade in/out purposes). I like the fade out feature, but I just wish there was a way to avoid it from cutting out the last lyrics of a song. But for now, the only new feature that looks interesting is the smart shuffle thing.
I've made one Itunes "purchase". It was with a Pepsi cap (for free), and it was the studio mix of "Under Pressure" by The Used & My Chemical Romance.

Yeah, thats what I meant. They always suggest backing up the music library before updating because sometimes it will delete them for some reason *and that would suck* I wont update for awhile at least...Im too scared to try

Can we make a catch-all folder for new music purchases?
