For all intents and purposes, a Pussycat Dolls song. I actually like this one, shame that it goes nowhere when they actually decide to try something different.

I like it. When was the last time an Oscar has made a song a hit?

It's A.R. Rahman. I only got to hear this a couple times and this was on my pop station's HD station, for that matter. I haven't heard it recently, so they may already be done with it.

I just saw Slumdog Millionaire over the weekend and I guess I'll be the first one to make the obligatory "the original version was better" comment.
By the way, the song is credited as A.R. Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nichole Scherzinger.

So it looks like we've got a little bit of a "Diana Ross & the Supremes" thing going on now. Or a "My name is David Ruffin and these are the Temptations" "Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued" thing going on. And Melody and Ashley are none too happy about it. I'd be very surprised if the group lasts 'til summer. www.vh1.com/news/articles/1610068/20090427/the_pussycat_dolls.jhtml

And when they realize that bagging my groceries is a lot more s***ty of a career than standing around watching Nicole try to sing, it'll be rainbows and butterflies and sunshine all over again and they'll be right back in the group.

And based on Nicole's track record from her failed attempt at launching a solo album, she probably needs the group as much as the other girls need it.

And based on Nicole's track record from her failed attempt at launching a solo album, she probably needs the group as much as the other girls need it. Yeah, that's what I don't understand. So somebody at the label decided to push her name outside of the collective group name? And to accomplish what, exactly? Based on the success of PCD, she tried to branch out and launch a solo career, but all 3 singles bombed spectacularly. Then she falls back in line with the group for round two (using a lot of the material that was supposed to go on her solo album, mind you), but that produced two hits of significantly lesser chart value. I'll ask it again: what is the point of putting her name outside of the group's other than to piss off the other 4 girls?
