• It seems like penance starts a new Five Finger Death Punch topic every week. Never heard any of their songs but I have 5FDP ESP the same way I have indie ESP. • Why are we still talking about Tantric. • Why is there a topic for everything Thousand Foot Krutch. And everything Rev Theory. And everything Alter Bridge. • Why are we still talking about Candlebox. This isn't the nostalgia forum. • I'm mad that "Love Hurts" is actually going for adds. I wanted to say "why are we still talking about "Love Hurts" and we actually never should have been if not for Artie's flukily stumbling on to something. • Artie thinks he knows infinitely more than he actually does. People like that really need food poisoning. • "M (The Presidents Of The United States Of America)". That's all that needs to be said in any dismissive argument about Artie. If that doesn't work, then: "(The Alex Band)". • fran.182 and P(A)=0 have ruined that board. Reading their conversations makes me feel like Hank in this sketch: • It still amazes me that every Sevendust topic emits so much discussion. Then again, irrelevance never stopped anyone in that forum. • I'm so glad there's a penance to put people like jazklash and oscillations. in place. The problem with people like that is that they think that just because they're smart, that everything they have to say is important. They can get away with it on the pop board, but not on Alternative. (This topic will probably remain an ongoing one.)

The problem with P(A)=0 and fran182 is that they don't get that the pop forum ≠ the alternative forum. And there's no easy way to tell them that without at least partially coming across as an asshole. They're only 15 each though, so I guess I'm willing to cut them a little slack and assume they'll make posts with more content in another few years. Given that Artie showed up at R&R in like 2001, I'd have to assume he's at least 25-30 by now. So his stupidity isn't quite as excusable.
Whatever, as long as the alternative forum doesn't get so bad that it needs a moderator of its own, which is exactly what happened to the pop forum and music news forum.

Yeah, jazklash is the most annoying kind of snob there is. I can't wait for Hot Chip to finally jump the shark so people could rub it in his face, and he'll deny he is into their stuff at that point. The fact that he's pushing 30 it's just sad he still talks like that. But I incidentally knew someone his age that wasn't much better.
You gotta love the comments regarded at fran.182 on "Paper Planes" topic, though. You kind of can't fault broken English, though.

jazklash is easily my least favourite member of Pulse. He's so pretentious and douchebaggy that he can out-oscillations oscillations.

jazklash is easily my least favourite member of Pulse. He's so pretentious and douchebaggy that he can out-oscillations oscillations. I really think jazklash was referred to Pulse by oscillations.. They talk to each other on a first name basis, and let's face it: what are the odds that two people like that actually stumbled upon that board through their everyday goings-on and decided to stick around this long? I will at least give that oscillations. credit for being a unique snob in which she rarely speaks condescendingly of members with opposing points of view. That's actually pretty much unheard of. But I just noticed she cracked 10,000 posts over there, and she barely ever is in the Alternative forum anymore. I think the reason for that is that there's too many Alternative members with possession of a brain who are less inclined to fall for what she has to say. She's like half-human, half-deity on the rest of the boards.

Through looking at posts I guess I kind of figured jazklash used to post as jaxxalude. I didn't initially think this but both are apparently from Portugal. Maybe in the upper 20's the people there are that pretentious, I wouldn't want to think that. However, I believe that guy registered well before oscie. if I've got the chronology right.
EDIT: I noticed how Skillet "The Last Night" was on the first page. I mean, that album's like two years old already! It's not like it did much of anything, either.

I don't know which registered first, but I believe you are correct that neither is responsible for attracting the other to the board.

• It seems like penance starts a new Five Finger Death Punch topic every week. Never heard any of their songs but I have 5FDP ESP the same way I have indie ESP. 5FDP aren't terrible, but they're not "good" by any stretch of the imagination. At least not from the two singles I've heard so far. • Why are we still talking about Tantric. • Why are we still talking about Candlebox. This isn't the nostalgia forum. • It still amazes me that every Sevendust topic emits so much discussion. Then again, irrelevance never stopped anyone in that forum. • Why is there a topic for everything Thousand Foot Krutch. And everything Rev Theory. And everything Alter Bridge. And Skillet. And Red. Regarding those first 3 bullets, enough is enough. I understand that those bands still have some loyal fans out there, but the fact that there are this many (or at least interested fans) on that board is completely absurd. Yeah, it's a shame Sevendust never had a genuine breakthrough hit, but I got over that (and quietly, I might add) six years ago and have also understood something that these guys don't seem to: Sevendust never will have that breakthrough hit. "Oh, Nick, never say never. You don't know that for sure." I can guaran-f***ing-tee you that. Oh yeah, also that the Kottonmouth Kings will never have another hit song for the rest of their lives. Ever. They've been back underground for too long and do just fine with their loyal fanbase of degenerates. • Artie thinks he knows infinitely more than he actually does. People like that really need food poisoning. It's mind twisting trying to sort out when he's being ignorant and when he's playing dumb just to get a rise out of penance. • "M (The Presidents Of The United States Of America)". That's all that needs to be said in any dismissive argument about Artie. If that doesn't work, then: "(The Alex Band)". Did he do that on purpose, I wonder, or is he that ignorant of how that subject line reads? 'Cuz if it's the latter, every time he's being a baby and getting in a stupid argument we should just reply to him with that subject line. • fran.182 and P(A)=0 have ruined that board. Reading their conversations makes me feel like Hank in this sketch: I use Firefox to navigate usually and don't have Flash installed on it, just so pages load quicker. So if there's a YouTube link, I see a white box instead of the screen shot and have to open Internet Explorer to look at it. Since I couldn't see the still at first, I thought you were making some King of the Hill reference, apparently ignoring the word "sketch" in your sentence. When I opened the page with IE and saw that still frame of Chris Farley and Adam Sandler, I actually rose out of my chair and walked around, I was laughing so hard. I loved those sketches (I think there were at least 2-3 of 'em). From time to time in everyday situations, I've actually thought of myself in that Adam Sandler role over the years. I've only noticed those banal back & forth reply conversations a couple of times and only within the past week or two. If you had to ask me who the two participants were, I would've guessed P(A)=0 and Cody, since they seem to say the most useless stuff in that forum. I was unaware fran.182 was a main offender. I had no problem with him that I was aware of, other than having to cut him some slack due to his youth. I've actually felt like saying a quick word or two in one of those mind-numbing space-wasting conversations, but have not, just yet. • I'm so glad there's a penance to put people like jazklash and oscillations. in place. The problem with people like that is that they think that just because they're smart, that everything they have to say is important. They can get away with it on the pop board, but not on Alternative. Yeah, I'm finally cool with that guy somehow. I'm so thrilled he can (and bothers to) articulate everything that needs to be said to any pretentious f*** who masturbates and condescends to anyone in that forum.

I'm sure you guys are 100% correct about jazklash's personality, but personally, he hasn't made it on my radar yet, so I don't automatically associate his screen name with all the pretentious bulls*** he says. The avalanche of idiocy a few years ago at Pulse created the need for this place, and clearly Pulse's Alternative forum alone at this point begs us to have our own space free from all that clutter, hence this topic. But obviously we need Pulse still (if, in my case, solely for the Alternative forum), because all of us here have too little time and too much more important stuff to do than create topics for every single song that hits the chart. And maybe I speak for most, if not, the rest of you, but waiting every three months to do the Report Card topic to let loose all our opinions on current charting songs is not often enough discussion of current music, because music is such a huge part of my everyday life. Obviously we start topics here about current songs he have strong opinions on, but sometimes you just wanna say a quick sentence on a song you don't have a strong opinion on, but starting a topic for it just isn't worth it here.

I had assumed it was someone who had joined before because of how familiar he seemed of the place, but I didn't think it was jaxxalude. Thanks for the info.

I'd love to see that sketch, and its other recurrences, in their entirety. Those were the SNL glory years and I'd totally be willing to give up fighting NBC's police state hold on YouTube and just buy the season DVD's from those seasons. That particular episode was from season 20 though, and so far they've only released through season 4. . Cody isn't completely innocent. Fine that he's got that Hayley avatar, but...that vomitorium of a description below it. The only problem I have with him though is that he likes too much of what I'd like to get rid of, and I still don't know what the hell he means by constantly listening to "Too Drunk To F***" and talking about it. In other news: Ragin vs. jazklash...Ragin ftw in the Paper Planes topic!!~!

That particular episode was from season 20 though, and so far they've only released through season 4. . Oh I'd absolutely buy the complete seasons from 1991-1996 at least, when they finally get to those. I may need to extend that forward a season or two, but those are no-brainers. Cody isn't completely innocent. Fine that he's got that Hayley avatar, but...that vomitorium of a description below it. I assume he's about the same age as her. Personally, due to her extremely petite stature and her hideous fasion choices for the first 6 months of Riot!'s shelf-life, I'd find it akin to lusting after a nerdy kid sister. In other news: Ragin vs. jazklash...Ragin ftw in the Paper Planes topic!!~! Yes. In other news, I've noticed fran.182 has started pulling the old roetzengadt (or however you spell it) and has begun wasting everyone's time in newly replied topics by posting only the song's weekly chart update. f*** that. That needs to stop.
