This is a really nice song. "Tattoo" was bland, but a real grower. "No Air" was the stand out, but I see this doing well. I like Jordin, she's certainly won me over, she's really good the whole package and nice pure pop songs. I hope she continues to be successful. 47 46 JORDIN SPARKS One Step At A Time 877 605 272 7.755 Video: youtube.com/watch?v=GaimSxohKt0Live: youtube.com/watch?v=w22v4j4BWUI

I agree that "Tattoo" was bland, and not at all memorable; every time I heard it, I forgot everything about it immediately. "No Air", I don't think anyone has been as hard on that song as they should; I really think that's one of the worst songs I've heard all year.
The thing is, I know she's a good singer. She just has picked the wrong people to give her material and none of the songs have been any good.

Woah, I'm suprised really, I mean, I guess I don't really know much of your music opinions, but I thought No Air was one of the best of the year...The video not so much, but the song, definitely.

Woah, I'm suprised really, I mean, I guess I don't really know much of your music opinions, but I thought No Air was one of the best of the year...The video not so much, but the song, definitely. I don't typically have such strong distaste for inoffensive songs like that one, but there's just so much wrong with it. It's ridiculous how she has to explain in the beginning why she doesn't have any air to breathe, and then she has to repeat the fact that she has no air ad nauseum when it's a stupid metaphor to begin with. Furthermore, I don't think there's any chemistry between the two and they both misrepresent the emotions that the song is seemingly supposed to reflect. I never believed that either of them feel for one another. And this is a super-duet here. Anything those two recorded would have hit the top 5 on deaf ears. In the end, I'm left wondering: Is that the best they can do? Is that the best that the music scene can offer us? Then I look at how big the song became and that bothers me. And I hate the song.

Yeah, I agree to an extent. The lyrics to "No Air" are terrible. It's like they managed to pull out the cheesiest lines of clichés and stuffed them all into one song.
The vocal performance of the song was what saved the song from being terrible, for me anyway. In terms of quality, I think "Tattoo" and "No Air" are quite equal (except when I first heard "Tattoo", I thought the intro was an "Apologize" rip-off and sped-up).

"Tattoo" isn't anything amazing at first, but damn if you can hear it constantly on the radio and NOT get it stuck in your head. That's what happened to me, at least.
As for "No Air", even if the lyrics are nothing to write home about, I'd say it's a quality song. It starts out sort of flimsy, but it really ties itself together towards the end.

Even though every complaint about "No Air" that's been brought up in here is valid, I like the song a lot. Guess it's just a huge guilty pleasure.
I can do without "Tattoo" though. Nothing but "Irreplaceable" meets Radio Disney.
