This has turned out to be some kind of sleeper hit. How many weeks is it now for this song? It's at #22 now, but with System Of A Down, My Chemical Romance, Weezer, and The Strokes comin' right up behind it, it may not last long enough to peak any higher, and may fall to recurrent as soon as it starts losing spins.
I love this song. It sounded kind of so-so at first, but I guess I was expecting something more like what was on their debut CD (which was awesome). But, after seeing them 5 times this summer, meeting them 3 times, watching their killer new video for "Attack", and observing as the song just slowly creeps up the chart week after week, I must say I'm more excited about this song than any other right now.

It's kind of been a sleeper hit with me, oddly enough, since I actually liked them very much to begin with. I didn't care for it too much and felt Jared was pushing his voice way too high and would never be able to recreate this (or much of the album, as it turned out) in a live performance, but this slowly kept getting better and better.
The 10/21 chart marks week #18 for "Attack."
Yeah, and I still haven't seen them even once live. On Incubus' 2002 fall tour, 30STM were on the St. Louis date, which my brother saw, but by the time the tour came to Nashville, Home Town Hero was the opener. I don't think they've been to Missouri or anywhere close to Memphis ever since.
S**t, in addition to meeting the guys, I'd like to tell Jared how much I loved him in My So-Called Life, Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, and American Psycho.

Well, here's an exchange that took place during one of their autograph sessions: Guy: Hey Jared, I loved "My So-Called Life"! Jared: Homo! Guy: [thinking Jared didn't hear him the first time] Jared, I loved "My So-Called Life"! Jared: Quit being such a f ag, man!

Gets an add this week from Wxrk in New York. Right on time for the song to likely go recurrent. Bastards.
I wonder how many songs have gone over 20 weeks without peaking in the top 20. "Flake", maybe. Can't think of anything else. It was looking like that 10 Years song might have a chance too, but now that's probably going to make the top 20.

So I assume this got a 21st week only because it was still bulleted? Is that how they did it, or did they just forget?

10 Years was still bulleted when that was shown the door last week. So it had to have either been a mistake, or a special request from Virgin to give it one more week, because they let up on it for the following week.
