I don't know if the Proboards f***-up causing the downtime at Pulse has kept some people away, but just in case, I'm extending the deadline 24 hours to give everyone a chance to get in on voting. I didn't actually notice the original posting deadline. I'll make sure to listen to the ones I haven't tomorrow (later today) and pick my winners.

F**k! I totally forgot to do this this evening, as I started doing other things instead. I'd very much like to participate in the first round, so to show that I'm serious now, I'll get started and edit in my progress until I absolutely must go to bed.
Group 1 New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
Def Leppard - Rock of Ages
Group 2 Billy Idol - Dancing with Myself
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark At the Moon
Group 3 Madonna - Like a Prayer
The Pixies - Where Is My Mind
Group 4 Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus
Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
Group 5 Prince - I Would Die 4 U
Don Henley - The Boys of Summer
Group 6 Ministry - Stigmata 10 years of familiarity over maybe 4?
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
Group 7
Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill A handful of hearings isn't enough to displace the years' worth of the one below. John Cougar - Jack and Diane
Group 8
Queen - Another One Bites the Dust U2 - With or Without You
Group 9 New Order - True Faith
Salt N' Pepa - Push It
Group 10
The Smiths - Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before "Heaven" has a 14-year head start over the past 3½ minutes of my life. Bryan Adams - Heaven
Group 11
Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up Skid Row - 18 and Life
Group 12 Def Leppard - Foolin'
Missing Persons - Words Oh yeah, I've heard this one before....
Group 13 Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
R.E.M. - Orange Crush
Group 14
Guns n' Roses - Paradise City Maybe my very least favorite G N' R single ever? The chorus is absolutely corny and the song's just so goddamn long. Meanwhile, you can't f*** with this MJ classic. Michael Jackson - Beat It
Group 15 The Police - Every Breath You Take
Bauhaus - She's In Parties Again, the past 3-4 minutes of my life isn't going to trump the previous 15 years.
Group 16
Romeo Void - A Girl in Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing) Queen and David Bowie - Under Pressure The past 4½ minutes vs. the past 9 years.
Group 17
Peter Gabriel - Red Rain Modern English - I'll Melt with You
Group 18 Bobby Brown - Every Little Step
Tears For Fears - Shout "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" smokes this. Group 19 Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized
Nine Inch Nails - Head Like a Hole Tough choice, but after familiarizing myself with ST's Greatest Hits last year, I'm going back to the beginning of their catalog. Timely enough, I've been loving the s*** out of my new burned copy of their debut album in the car all this past week. It's 28 minutes and when it ends I just start it over. It fascinates and blows my mind learning that this album came out the day after I turned 2 years old. I've actually tried to look for it in town to buy, but so far it hasn't turned up.
Group 20
Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey The same-y basic production on Licensed to Ill has caused all its songs to wear out on me real fast. I can't remember the last time I actually wanted to listen to it or let one of its songs play on the radio. Unless it's "Girls," of course. That song's always a good time. Billy Joel - We Didn't Start the Fire
I need to cut it off here and go to bed. I'll add in the two more where I don't have to listen to one or both songs to be fair.
Group 26 The Clash - London Calling
Beastie Boys - No Sleep Till Brooklyn
Group 30
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall (Part II) The Clash - Rock the Casbah
Now I just have 10 sets left, which I hope I can knock out tomorrow afternoon before I have to leave for work.
Group 21 Run-DMC featuring Aerosmith - Walk This Way
The Blue Nile - Downtown Lights (While I'm not a particularly big fan of "Walk This Way" or anything, again this is a case of 4½ minutes vs. 15 years of familiarity.)
Group 22 Madonna - Into the Groove
Minor Threat - In My Eyes (Minor Threat never stood a chance, not to mention "Into the Groove" is one of my songs, but I had to give it the benefit of the doubt.)
Group 23 (Battle of the songs I've only heard a few times apiece, at best.) The Smiths - This Charming Man
Dramarama - Anything Anything
Group 24 Blondie - Rapture
Bruce Springsteen - Glory Days
Group 25 Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
Bruce Springsteen - Brilliant Disguise
Group 27
Joy Division - Disorder Talking Heads - Burning Down the House (3½ minutes vs. 13 years of moderate familiarity.)
Group 28
John Farnham - You're the Voice Roxy Music - More Than This
Group 29
Echo and the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon Talking Heads - This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)
Group 31
The Fixx - Secret Separation Don Henley - The End of the Innocence
One more to go, which I'll have done coming up here in a little bit...
Group 32
Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes (I kind of have a soft spot for the #1 song on the day I was born, but this is only the second time I've actually heard it.) Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia
There. All done.

Group 9
Modern English - I'll Melt With You Tears For Fears - Shout (And I happen to like it a little bit more than "Rule," but it's not a landslide for me.)
Group 10 Nine Inch Nails - Head Like a Hole

The Clash - London Calling (Yikes!)
Group 14 Talking Heads - Burning Down the House
Roxy Music - More Than This (I guess. Both of my songs, and it's not a landslide. For instance, I would've voted both songs over Bauhaus.)
Group 15 Talking Heads - This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) (Although it sucks Echo couldn't have at least gotten in this round instead. But, I've been liking this one quite a bit lately so it's got my vote.)

I really don't care too much one way or the other for who wins these other two match-ups, so I'll be polite and let somebody more passionate about any of the songs break the ties.

Yeah exactly, I only cared about The Clash and that's one of my fav songs from them, so to lose to "Billie Jean" would be embarrassing to me..haha
