^ Your current playlist looks very 1995. Yep, that was the tag I enter on the last.fm software. Actually, Sirius' 90's channel did that year for their flashback countdown this week (unfortunately, it's only a top 15 and not a top 40), but I missed it this week, and only caught the #1 song ("Water Runs Dry" by Boyz II Men). I went to the channel's last.fm page and was devastated by some of the songs I missed: "Scream," "Freak Like Me," "This Is How We Do It," "I Believe," and especially "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Nicki French, which I don't think I've even heard since '95, even though I used to own the cassette single. So yeah, I listened to a bunch of songs from that year last night. Tonight I'm really gonna ramp up the nostaglia and try to listen to the songs that were on the top 40 on the day I was born.

Do you not own those songs or something? Other than "Scream," no. (And I actually haven't listened to HIStory in quite some time, but still, I guess I can't complain about that one.) Besides, I just think there's a patent difference between hearing a song by putting on a CD or MP3 and hearing it on the radio. The latter just seems more special some reason, probably because you don't realize that it's coming on until it does.

Not only does it play mostly the lesser-known stuff from my collection, it also rotates in album cuts from stuff I've downloaded that I'd never otherwise get to hear in a long long time. Plus it cycles in funny dialogue that I create from movies and TV shows. It's music from my collection, yes, but I actually haven't heard a lot of it and I have no idea what's coming up next.)

Done. The only thing I'm unsure of is if that's the album version of "I Believe." It says "nigga from the streets" like it should, but otherwise it sounds a little different to me. (I haven't heard it in years, though.)

I've never had tears during a birthday. I guess that's the curveball? And I'm late for some of you, so I'll say that in this post.

Thanks, Steve!
Your most recent Top 10 playlist and the one I saw briefly right before it were very fine, indeed.

Happy belated birthday to Nick. I wasn't online and didn't have the access at the time, either. But better late than never.

Happy belated birthday to Nick. I wasn't online and didn't have the access at the time, either. But better late than never. Thanks, feller. I appreciate it nonetheless. It was a decent enough birthday.
