So the final four of the 90s tournament is comprised of bands who all got started out in the early 80's. This round will at Wednesday at 3 PM ET. (FYI, Tuesday is moving day for me, and since my mom's apartment doesn't quite have internet access, I'm setting the deadline for when I reasonably think I should have a chance to get online again once I'm in New Jersey.) No, Depeche Mode vs. R.E.M.
I'm reminded of Wade Boggs going up against Barney Gumble here. (Shame that clip doesn't turn up on YouTube.)

I'll spice things up a bit and go with Depeche Mode vs. U2. But neither group was the slightest bit easy, especially the first one.

I like all four of these options. I'll say Durans and U2 to advance but I've no problem with the other two doing it.

I'm pulling for Depeche Mode vs. U2, just like a topic that's also in this forum. Before the last elimination I kept hoping on "Push It" ftw.

But this whole thing lost all credibility when that Eiffel 65 abomination beat the awesomeness that is "Joey" in the first round!

So it once again comes down to two awesome bands, with one of them trying to go 2-for-2 in the decades tournaments.
This round will end Wednesday at 5 PM ET.

I don't like either one of those songs that much, but "Mysterious Ways" is a little better, so it gets my vote.

I'll go for U2 if for no other reason than I liked the other Depeche song in the tourney better.
If anyone else was interested in the year breakdown as the tourney progressed:
1990: 6 2 1 1 1 1 1991: 6 2 2 2 2 1 1992: 8 4 3 2 1 0 1993: 7 3 2 0 0 0 1994: 9 6 1 0 0 0 1995: 7 0 0 0 0 0 1996: 6 3 1 0 0 0 1997: 6 5 2 1 0 0 1998: 3 2 2 1 0 0 1999: 6 5 2 1 0 0

Haha, it looks like we may have the same artist win both times.
I go for U2 this time, though. If it were "Enjoy the Silence" this would not be the case.

This is hard for me because I wanted U2 to win the 80's tournament, and would like to see them win here. But "Policy of Truth" is one of the most underrated songs ever from the 90's. And like Kirk with Depeche Mode, if it were "One" in the tournament instead of "Mysterious Ways", it'd make my choice a lot easier.
So, yeah, Depeche Mode for the repeat. I won't be mad at all if U2 pulls it out.

Well, just like last time, we're deadlocked 5-5 at the end of the final round. So, once again, we'll settle this with the next 5 votes to determine the winner.
