This was released late last year and I got it when it was on sale at Target and it's one of those albums that I bought without downloading first because I loved his debut album so much. I was wondering if anyone else have listened to this.
The interesting thing with this album is that unlike his debut album which was all produced by Chad Hugo, all tracks on this album were produced by Pharrell and Chad separately. You can definitely tell the difference between songs produced by each person. All of Chad's tracks are more Industrial/Eletronica-influenced, whereas Pharrell's tracks are more electro-soul-influenced (think Kelis' debut album and the original In Search Of... album).
Compared to his debut, it's definitely more mainstream sounding and more organized. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
With this album and Clipse's last album, the Neptunes prove that they still got it and are still the best producers around.

I agree with you about the production on this one. It's pretty amazing.
I also agree that this album is the more mainstream of the two, but considering the first album, that's not exactly pushing it far into the mainstream!
I like both albums but I prefer this one, although I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it as much as it deserves since it's spent most of its time since I bought it at my home and I have not.
I wasn't too concerned with Kenna's second album when it came out, because I still only downloaded his first album from one of you guys just this year and haven't had time to listen to it yet. (Join the club, Kenna. 645 strong, as of this writing.) But...

Dammit, this means I'll have to check it out now. I love Hell Hath No Fury.
I'm skeptical of N*3*R*D, though. (Even though I'll buy it first week anyway.) "Everybody Nose" sure doesn't make a good case for it. I hope that's not the lead single.

Well it's still nowhere as disappointing as Pharrell's solo album, of which I can't even stand like maybe half of the songs. He needs to stop rapping and start being like Kanye by saving some of the good beats for himself.

I'd have to listen to both again, but I seem to remember my opinion of the second N.E.R.D. disc being about equal to Pharrell's solo joint.
I just got the most incredible news today, though. N.E.R.D. is coming to my club! I'll get to see Pharrell (plus Chad...and Shay) in the flesh, perform, and maybe, just maybe, if he's not too big of a Mr. Superstar, I'll get the chance to meet Pharrell. *crosses fingers*

Wow, lucky you! Good luck! Although apparently N*E*R*D will be touring with Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Rihanna for the Glow in the Dark Tour, so there's no way in hell would I miss that when it comes to Toronto!

Yeah, I'd rather see that, but it is not coming through my town (bastards). On the other hand, there's no chance in hell I'd be able to meet Pharrell on that tour, and not only because it would be coming to a larger venue I don't work at.
