While I was in O'Hare International Airport, I checked out AltiTunes/Inmotion Entertainment. On the speakers, they played an ad for Kidz Bop 12 with clips of various songs off the album. Oh man, all of them made me cringe. It's so sad that the last few volumes debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard 200.
Here's the tracklisting: 1. Girlfriend 2. The Sweet Escape 3. It's Not Over 4. Say It Right 5. Never Again 6. What Goes Around...Comes Around 7. Umbrella 8. Cupid's Chokehold 9. Glamorous 10. If Everyone Cared 11. Beautiful Liar 12. How To Save A Life 13. Makes Me Wonder 14. Don't Matter 15. Boston 16. With Love 17. Ice Box 18. Home
If you ain't got no money, take your broke self home.
You know, I've actually heard a radio edit that goes "take your broke broke home." I'm sure that would've been more entertaining coming from whoever they get to sing these than the above line.

Yeah, that's the one both of my stations play.
The songs kept pausing about every 5 seconds when I tried to listen to them, so I only listened to a little bit of each one. But judging by what I heard, none of them quite surpassed the Kidz Bop version of "Headstrong" in terms of comedy.
I was initially neutral on the compilation's existance but now am pissed at them for the inclusion of "Float On" by Modest Mouse a few times back. LOL, do they not realize the "scam" mentioned in the second verse alludes to a drug deal?

Interestingly, the chorus for Kanye's "Gold Digger" radio edit did the same thing with the exact same word.
They probably got the idea from Kanye then. I like how in the video for "Gold Digger" they purposely repeat the 1/2 sec clip of when he says "broke" for the second time consecutively to emphasize that it was edited. He also did that when I saw him live in concert, probably so that people can sing along to the song without saying the n-word.

I always thought the "scam" was like one of those spam e-mails where some pussydick says he's a representative from some third world nation, usually in Africa, saying you need to deposit a couple hundred bucks to stabilize their banking system and you'll be paid millions in return. Or something to that liking. That's why I figured he was a fake Jamaican.
He also did that when I saw him live in concert, probably so that white people can sing along to the song without saying the n-word.
Ah, yeah, I guess that makes perfect sense. I was wondering why that was the only word of the song he wouldn't say when he performed it opening for U2.
I know the stripper's real name. Stop me if I'm wrong.

Although at the end of it, he repeated the chorus once more while saying the n-word. He was like, "Party people... this is your only chance to say the n-word! Don't waste it!"

Do Asians get a free pass like Latinos? Or are they treated like white people, considering blacks stereotypically hate Korean (all Asian?)convenience store clerks for some reason.

Huh. Well that's kinda stupid of him. Heck, I'm sure a lot of people sang/lip-synched it normally anyway.
I know the stripper's real name. Stop me if I'm wrong.

I don't think so. But then what do I know, I grew up in the suburbs.

In Canada, no less.

Well, Toronto is very culturally diverse and does have a lot of black people, Asians and Latinos in addition to white people. So, no, that's not really a factor.

Aside from the drinking reference(s), I may be forgetting some key lyrics in "Telephone," but I find it equally disturbing that kids will be singing about the "daisy dukes," "bikini tops," and "melting popsicles" in "California Gurls." And don't even get me started on the prospect of kids singing "Not Myself Tonight."
