Once September rolls around, the rest of the year flys by. That sucks.

I was all irritated because it was already september. Not that I like the month of august, generally, but as it gets closer and closer to getting cold and the big winter months, I get less and less happy. Because winter weather is just so harsh down there in South Carolina. Outside of the fact that it means summer is over, I love fall. The only months I truly dislike are January through March because it's cold and there are no holidays or anything.

Once September rolls around, the rest of the year flys by. That sucks. How I perceive time doesn't speed up or slow down at any given point. It's all goes by too fast to enjoy it. The only months I truly dislike are January through March because it's cold and there are no holidays or anything. *Ahem* New Year's Day? Martin Luther King Day? Valentine's Day? Presidents' Day? St. Patrick's Day?

St. Patrick's Day? I consider New Years to still be part of the holiday season and the rest are merely one-day celebrations (if that; my school doesn't give me any of those four off. Same with Labor Day, Columbus Day and Veteran's Day. )

I know it was a great feat for Ap state to win, but really, how many times am I going to watch that clip on ESPN?

I can't get enough of it!
Haven't seen it on ESPN yet, since I like, don't have it, but the game was totally ipod material.

LOL! Well I would love to watch it again and again maybe 10 times, but they were literally playing it back to back. They had it in Sports Center commercials, it was on multiple times on every episode of Sports Center, I mean, it's not breaking news...

I was looking on youtube to see if anyone had synced up the App. St. radio broadcast with the video, because I want to hear it, but no dice. Maybe I'm overestimating the youtube generation. I've already heard Michigan's side because I was listening as it happened.

I saw a clip of some Michigan wrap up show or something and their expressions were priceless. I'm not a fan of either teams, but it certainly was nice to see.

Funniest parts of the wrapup: • Michigan's band played their fight song immediately after they lost. • Michigan's announcer had to do a catalogue promoting a contest giving away tickets to their next home game, upon coming back after the first commercial break.

10,000 plays on last.fm!
Song #10,000... "Home" by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony f/Phil Collins. (#10,001 was my first mp3 spin of GC's "Dance Floor Anthem". Almost!)

I've already heard Michigan's side because I was listening as it happened. I found the radio clip, but only with assorted still images. I don't have the equipment, but it ain't that hard to sync it to the video... Of course, I listened to the ASU stream live. It was about as distorted as you could get and still figure out what they're saying though. #1 on my YouTube wishlist is a remix of this video with ASU-Michigan highlights (and preferably calls) added in. If I had the time, I'd do it myself.

It takes something big to help you realize how much the simple everyday things mean. Today, my best friend was killed in a car accident. Don't even know what to do, or what there is to do? I wanted to go fix it, I'd empty my bank account, if there was anything I could do to change it...but there's such a helplessness and I feel so empty. All the memories come flooding at once, and laughing, but crying...idk why im trying to type up anything that seems happy and like theres a bright side...I was trying to type correct in every way and make a meaningful message but it probably came out like a ramble of stupidity...but regardless...idk how to feel, but I'm so thankfully for the friends who come together and help each other in tough times...idk, i guess i could type out all the stuff we did tonight to try to calm our grief, but who really cares, right?

Your best friend? Oh my god, that's so sad. My heartfelt condolences go out to you. I honestly don't know what else to say. Nothing could possibly feel sympathetic enough.

Thanks. It's been a very long day, it's still not fully real to me. It's just unreal to me how quickly someone can be torn from life and I've never been so close to someone that has passed that it just feels like my hearts ripped from my chest. I didn't know how to respond to the news, and I just feel so helpless..I drove around for an hour and a half trying to figure out what I could do to fix things and bring him back and there wasn't anything...no where I could go, no one to see.
All these memories though, all those hours crying on the phone today...It's like, idk..overwhelming to realize how much he meant...

I still can't make myself accept it. Friday night before the game... My eyes have not had a chance to get into a normal state......I just keep looking to the sky, it looked so beautiful and like someone said, he had front row seats to the game. He'd have been going crazy at our alum's 51-7 win with a big time rival team. I've learned new details, although our school being known for being on the worst rumor schools in the area, I believe this much at least is true. The girl who was driving and swerved in front of Austin is 15 years old and does NOT have a license. One of her passengers died also.

Hopefully she'll get what she deserves, although having to live with the memories of this incident for the rest of her life is pretty major punishment on its own. I know even time won't heal the pain, but best of luck nonetheless.

Two unconfirmed things are that 1) she was high, 2) she was going *65 mph, *104 mph.
This happened right around a curve, which drives me crazy to think that she'd be going so fast rather it was 45-55-105, whatever, the speed limit in there is like 25...and it's 25 for a VERY GOOD REASON...it's a heavy traffic area, a road that sits in between our high school and middle school...
Just to think that her carelessness, as well as irresponsibility lead to this lose is beyond my comprehension. It's still slowly becoming reality. I keep leaving comments on the facebook groups, on his myspace, on his memorial site just thinking that he'll read them next time he signs on and leave me a comment back...It blows my mind to realize how many lives he's affected and if not for this, how many he'd continue to affect.

I'm sorry about your loss, Eric. It's hard enough for me to swallow, reading all this; I can't imagine what it's like in your point of view, having your close friend as the victim.

Thanks.
Tonight was the accepting friends/visitation. I couldn't believe how many people came. It showed me how really amazing he was as the line wrapped through the memorial home, out the door, around the building and down the street. It was supposed to go from 6-8 PM, I got there about 5:50 and they were already out the door and around the building. It was amazing, even when I was leaving at 8, the line was still down the street. He was truely an amazing person.
I thought I was gonna make it through without crying like a baby, but once we got to the little area before the room with the line of family, there were the plants/flowers and all these notes. I read one and it said "You're an angel now, watching down on us" and I just let go. And then there were pictures and there was no turning back.
It's still hard to believe.

I'd have never realized how much the funeral would hurt, yet help. I was doing good not crying too bad during the message, but once we got up close to the casket afterwards I just lost it and it wasn't gonna stop. It's sort of a blur, but afterwards pretty much everyone had left I just sat there and looked at it. It looked so nice and the flowers were so pretty. I just kept thinking about the good times and how Austin always lived to the fullest. He really didn't care what anybody thought, as long as he was having fun it was all that mattered.
I think it's for real now though, I'm able to realize it's true. Amazing how much he lives in me after this...He's so great.

Well tonight me and Eric (aka Rico) went to the site of the crash. It's now fact that fire fighters/emt/police are estimating the girl was going around 100 mph. She is 15, without a license, and ran a stop sign. Sickening. Although I thought I was going to cry...a lot...I felt a closeness and presence while there. Many watery eyes, but I didn't cry. It's amazing how much has been done in the stretch of road. We're going back tomorrow to stay in the day light, which means we may or may not be painting again tomorrow...because it's illegal and daylight sort of makes it easier to get in trouble. Needless to say the illegal aspect hasn't seemed to stop anyone. Thats where his jeep flipped and hit against the power line pole. They replaced the fence, I'd like to think so we would have more room to write. The arrow is supposed to be pointing up to the KFC in heaven. We had a tradition of eating at KFC. Tomorrow we're going to get some stuff from KFC and leave it for him.

Someone (not saying I know who... ) snuck into the school's stadium, spraypainted "#10 CRAIN" across the end zone. There's also a Tiger paw (our school's mascot is Tigers) and it has his name and stuff in it. I'll be honest, it looks good. He's lovin it.
