I was shocked to see that Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" is rocketing up on the Rhythmic chart (even more so than with the Ting Tings being on the chart) and was wondering what was up with that. And not surprisingly it's because there's a new remix of the song featuring Lil Wayne and Jah Cure. The music is similar to the original, with a little added production in the form of steel drums to make it sound less acoustic, as well as they added verses by the two featured artists, both rapping and singing. I guess it never occurred to me that the song is reggae-enough to be played on Rhythmic stations, and it actually works. Attachments:

When I first heard of this remix I figured it would make the originally boring song either much better or much worse, but that's not the case. Like the original, this one's about a C and not really any more interesting to listen to. And not surprisingly it's because there's a new remix of the song featuring Lil Wayne and Jah Cure. At first I read this as featuring The Cure. Now that would be a remix pretty much guaranteed to improve the song.

It got played on the Smooth Jazz station (R.I.P. ) and it actually didn't sound that out of place. Lol. Not necessarily, but it would make it more interesting. The Cure has lost their touch. They haven't made a good album since 1989's Disintegration :-\ (Although to be fair, the self-titled one around 03 wasn't a bad effort. The one last year, however, sucked @$$.)
