Yeah, wow.
I watched the video first. When I checked that lounge and saw a topic called "Horrible Experience", and with who started it and who was replying to it, I was suspicious that it may have been the origin of the movie.
Something tells me this experience wasn't really as "horrible" to him as he's acting like it was. But realizing there are so many people like that out there among us goes a long way in helping me understand things like why the economy is so bad.

So on Sunday mornings, I usually get up to record Out of Order, sleep for 2 more hours, wake up to listen to AT40, then listen to Out of Order. This morning, they started Out of Order a few minutes early on me (I have yet to find out if this means they were actually able to squeeze in all the segments and all 20 songs; if they didn't have a couple of 9 and 10 minute commercial breaks perhaps they could squeeze it all into 2 hours and it wouldn't be an issue. : Anyway, no big deal. Only when I wake up two hours later to listen to AT40, it's already at #20, meaning that not only did they roll it back an hour past when it started two years ago when I first started listening again, but it fully overlaps Out of Order now, meaning I can no longer listen to both. 8 o'clock (even 7) was a reasonable hour for me to wake up on Sunday morning, provided I had two cups of coffee over the course of the show. F**k. This. I guess I can technically listen to both because my receiver runs through my computer (enabling me to record from the radio), whereas I can have my HD radio tuned to something else. So since I sometimes record interviews and humor from AT40, I can have that on my receiver and Out of Order playing through my room speakers off my HD radio. It just blows that I'll have to listen to them simultaneously, tuning out whichever song I happen to like less, and that I'll have to get up at 6 AM on a Sunday in order to do it. [/close vent]

^ I have not seen that yet. On that note, when I'm 45 I will look like I'm 30. That can be chalked up to good genetics, and to quote Christian Slater on SNL years ago, on one of the amazing Phil Hartman-driven "Sassy Magazine's Sassiest Boys" talk show sketches, answering Phil's character's question, "What makes you so...I don't know, sassy?": Clean living and dirty thinking.
That's my "amazing" story.

Ethan, did you ban that guy for saying "f*** you"? 'Cuz that would be awesome. Yeah, he's gone (although it wasn't solely for that- among other things, he posted a 4-paragraph essay about how all of the Pulse mods were *clearly* Kelly superfans just because we wouldn't keep the Justin Guarini topic open that basically consisted of him replying to himself over and over again).

That guy's got some issues. That was seven f***ing years ago! Kelly's been a bona fide superstar all the while and Justin not only never charted with a single, his status in pop culture is basically as a punching bag/laughingstock for having a career that bombed so badly, not to mention refusing to have altered his whimsical hairstyle. (Heck, if anything, maybe he figures if he cuts his hair off, no one would recognize him at all anymore. )

For real. I mean, I probably weigh as much as any given two Pulse members combined, and I think I'm too skinny, if anything.

Steve, LOL @ song #10 in your last FM sig, and I thought you hated #7? I hate what you think #7 is...look more closely. #10 was played just 2 songs following my car's passenger count dropping from 3 to 0. So close to expanding the audience on that one...

Between this and "The Pirate Penguin", I think you need a Last FM page just like Davey!

Between this and "The Pirate Penguin", I think you need a Last FM page just like Davey! No thanks, but I do admit I wish I had more time to create more songs like "The Pirate Penguin" these days. Without the dueling John Morrisses, obviously. It's too long now, and Christina's return out of the bridge inciting the song to fade out and end (on my version) is supposed to indicate the producers saying "Oh, she's still trying". Maybe a sound effect of a car overaccelerating its tire traction at that point would emphasize that. (yeah, sour grapes, I admit. .)

So I had the alternative station on in the car (which happens to be a college radio station) and the DJ said "here's the new song from Marcy Playground, "It's Saturday"". When the song ended, he once again referred to it as "new" and said he preferred their older stuff. Here's a tip, next time do a little research before trying to lure impress the Indie crowd with the "they used to be good but then they became sellouts" crap.

On Soulseek today I saw a file actually named "01 - Dig (Incubus)". So this confirms that, yes, Artie Ziff does use Soulseek.

Which one is worse: Those windy sub-zero Northeast winters or south TX 100-degrees-plus humid heat.
I seriously wish I could take a vacation right now. Maybe I'll be able to next year.

Maybe only Steve will care about this, but I took my then-girl to see Dredg a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to remember the setlist (despite taking Steve's with me), too many little variations, though I could probably remember most, if not all, of the songs they played. (I still hope to do that sometime.) Anyway, my girl wasn't familiar with Dredg, really, but she liked them and asked me to make her a mix CD of my favorite songs of theirs. This is what I came up with:
01. Symbol Song/Movement I: @45° N. 180° W (seamlessly fused together) 02. Ode to the Sun 03. Same Ol' Road (with transitional "Sanzen" segue chopped off and ending faded) 04. Bug Eyes 05. Catch Without Arms 06. Sanzen (with transitional intro chopped off and faded in) 07. Sang Real (with post-song laughter chopped off and ending faded) 08. Pariah 09. I Don't Know 10. Zebraskin 11. Information 12. Mourning This Morning (with last 40 seconds of noise chopped off and ending faded) 13. Of the Room 14. Planting Seeds 15. Cartoon Showroom 16. The Canyon Behind Her 17. Matroshka (The Ornament)
Now that would be the perfect Dredg show right there.
